if you build it, the sponsorship will come ;) and with the urban renewal of the Peachey Belt, yes, your alleged crime rate should plummet.

If, as suggested on 5AA tonight that tax payers are footing the bill for naming rights at Playford Alive Oval, does this mean the other eight clubs can look forward to some substantial annual tax payer funds or grants? :?

Lol. If 5AA suggested something like that, surely that makes it unlikely to be true.

From within the building industry I can tell you that massive amounts of investment is going into subdividing and rebuilding the Elizabeth area and the most valuable land is near the train line. I dont think what you are suggesting is out of the question either!

Google "Sekisui" who now own AVJennings and have the green light for new developments on farmland at Munno Para and a 10 000 plus demolition and rebuilding project at Elizabeth. This japanese company makes Aussie builders look like minor pissant firms in the scheme of things and have been engaged to pretty much totally redevelop the Elizabeth area, making a stadium at Elizabeth would no doubt boost their saleabiltiy of their homes and projects in the area.

yes, Sekisui/AVJennings have just purchased a 300 acre parcel of land in Penfield, boundaries are Andrews, Stebonheath, Petherton & Womma Roads for an unconfirmed amount of $90,000,000.00, some 1600 houses with supporting infrastructure. This is adjacent to the Playford Alive project, which incorporates the total urban renewal of The Peachey Belt, boundaries of Stebonheath, Curtis & Womma Roads & the trainline. So, if you want a long-term job, head north, Young Men!

anyway, the majority of the development is a green field site, not old housing trust houses, as i think you are assuming. After all, West Lakes is right next door to Royal Park. West Lakes brought the area up to a standard, be positive, it's great for the state.

I only know what Coopers pay Norwood for oval rights and it's fair to say that if the LMC are getting naming rights for 25K they're getting exceptional value for money.

Agree.........there is a zero missing somewhere and it ain't at the start.
