Well given our boundary used to be Flaxmill Rd and Gulfview rd in the 1990s re-check the boundaries, what used to be OSB home ground is now all in Souths zone. Given the criteria for zone distribution is 15 yo males at the last census and we now have the lowest amount of them (as I understand it) don't think we will be losing anymore "area" to South. Not with the growth of population in the Seaford area as it expands North along Commercial rd and the area just south of Huntfield Heights/hackham :D[/quote]

I would not be so confident that Glenelg will not be soon loosing some area to South. The below comes from the league boss, who used to run Glenelg ...

8 Jun 10 @ 11:00am by Jai Bednall
The Benchmarking document a review of each club’s on and off-field performance from 2000-09 revealed the club:
Had the lowest number of junior state team participants and AFL draftees in the past 10 years of any SANFL club;
Had only 7091 football participants across all levels in its zone in 2009, almost 1000 less than eighth-ranked club Central District.South officials met with the SANFL earlier this month and have suggested the League extends its northern boundary to engulf the complete Onkaparinga Council area.
This would mean the Panthers would pick up the suburbs of Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill, which are currently aligned to West Adelaide, and also Lonsdale, Reynella and Hallet Cove zoned to Glenelg.
SANFL state league general manager Darren Chandler conceded South’s participation numbers were a major concern, but noted the SANFL wasn’t scheduled to review its recruiting zones until the end of the 2012 season.

PORT Adelaide Magpies last night announced a $244,000 profit - ending three consecutive years in the red.

The Magpies posted a combined profit between the football club and its major asset the Prince of Wales Hotel for the year ending October 31.

The merger with the Power had no impact on the figures given it was not approved until November 16.

The profit is on the back of increased membership, sponsorship, attendances and the performance of the hotel last year.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

West Adelaide have announced a profit of $7,427.

Considering they posted a loss of about $640,000 2 years ago, that's a remarkable effort.

Good onya Port ya mob of moochers, also you can thank the SANFL for handing over the cash to them over the lsat three years after crying poverty, i hope the SANFL will help and look after the rest of the clubs if they should ever start to go under.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.
