Fair comparison?
State based comp v national comp.
Both second tier comps though...

If the SANFL are saying they are not good enough and need to be upgraded, how do they justify scheduling 2 games there?

Norwood also get 2 night games at the neutral Adelaide oval plus a day game there and one at Footy Park and also play West and South under lights. I understand that Centrals got the night games they were after. If they wanted more they certainly would have a case.
However, South get none at Adelaide Oval and if it is relevant that Norwood should have more as they have had lights longer, then should South have more games at Adelaide than Norwood as they have been in the league longer?

I did feel like saying FFS, it's $2 a game!! Thought better of it though. Still, if you feel so strongly about $2 per week or about $40 per year I can only imagine what you would able to write about fuel prices, the cost of my lamb chops for Australia day, Interest rates, school fees etc etc...

Money directly to YOUR club.
YOU save money.
The opposition don't get their grubby little hands on YOUR club's money.

Steal your cars but pay for your flares?![]()
C'mon mate, what do you take us for??
everything they 'find'...
and surely the dole bludgers can use their concession cards too centurion...
Seriously, i believe it's a retrogade step by the sanfl - a tenner is one note and easy to swallow for most people; I guess it's one way of driving people towards memberships.

Last time I bought a flare from a bloke in a ute he wouldn't take concession card for discount. Plus it wasn't even his ute!

That's the way I see it too.Squawk wrote:$2 a game Booney can also be described as a 20% increase. Regardless, that is but one of numerous changes. I realise you are a strong advocate for the Port club(s) and I don't want to see the SANFL without the Magpies either. In fact, Norwood has done more than other clubs have to ensure that is the case (esp noting the financial contribution made some time back to save the Maggies). But you've just picked out one point and really my moan was about the sum of all these changes. I also get frustrated that Port Power's licence pledges re game attendances have rarely been consistently met, and they have just not been a financial success - for reasons both within and beyond their control and that of the SANFL. The mistakes that have been made are now being passed on to the state comp to redress - both by measures reducing club expenditure and measures increasing income. I'm particularly peeved at being forced to effectively pay for AFL tickets I dont want, via the increase in the season ticket price.Booney wrote:You been involved in propaganda development for long, or just new to the game?

Would seem to be a token SANFL attempt at pacification?
