Eagles email 2 new players

The WWTFC is pleased to confirm that former Essendon listed player and Eagles junior, Christian Bock, has committed to the Eagles should he not be re-drafted in the upcoming AFL Rookie draft.



Christian comes back to the Eagles after two years on Essendon’s Rookie list where he played 30 senior matches with the Bendigo Bombers in the VFL competition.



Standing at 205cm tall, Christian will add nicely to the Club’s ruck stocks.



Should you not also be aware, Sam Martyn (who was recently elevated to the Crows Rookie list) will also represent the Eagles in 2011. Sam was drafted to the Eagles in the 2008 SANFL mini draft and has been described by the Crows hierarchy as a hardworking half back flanker / wingman with elite running capabilities.

WWTFC welcomes New Recruit Stephen Tiller

The WWTFC is delighted to announce the signing of Stephen Tiller for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Stephen has spent the last 6 years with the Western Bulldogs after being drafted from West Adelaide with the 54th pick of the 2004 AFL Draft.

He played 21 games for the Bulldogs and 69 games with Werribee and Williamstown in the VFL competition.

Senior Coach Michael Godden said “Stephen will provide us with a great deal of flexibility – although we have recruited him to play in the defence, we believe he will be able to play in any of the key positions in both the back and front half of the ground”.

“He has been a dominant player in the VFL competition and we are thrilled to have secured his signature for the next two seasons”

Upon signing with the Eagles, Stephen Tiller said “I am really pleased to have signed with the Eagles and can’t wait to get into training with the Club”

“The Eagles were very professional in the way they went about getting me to the Club and I wanted to come to a Club that had a good list and a history of making finals which the Eagles have”

2011 Recruit - Alan Obst
The Central District Football Club is excited to announce the signing of a former Premiership Player in key position big man ALAN OBST.

Alan, who is 23 years of age, was listed with the Adelaide Crows in 2006. 2007 saw him play with our Club and participate in the 2007 Premiership. In 2008, he was Rookie listed with the North Melbourne Football Club, and remained on their list until the completion of this season. During that period, Alan was elevated to North Melbourne’s main list in season 2008 and played 3 AFL games, and was elevated again in 2009 and played 2 AFL games.


Alan is a tall rangy lad who can play both up forward and in defence, and at times played on a wing with Werribee (his host Club) in the VFL. He is a good mark, strong at the football and will be an ideal addition to our Club with the retirement of Daniel Schell.
