Congratulations Bulldogs - thoroughly deserved once again. 11 consecutive Grand Finals and 4 consecutive premierships and 9 in total. I'm stll proud to be an Eagle though as we're the last team to beat them in a premiership decider.

Firstly, commiserations to Norwood and their supporters. An amazing effort all year and particularly today. It took everything that we had to get over the line. I have a feeling that Norwood will be playing in a few grand finals in the next few seasons. To our boys, what can you say? A truly magnificent effort. 9 premierships in 11 years and this would have to rival 2000 for being the sweetest of them all, given the way the boys had to come back against an excellent opposition. Wingnut, you are a champion!
Cheers

How can he be a sniper if phillips saw him coming?, plus it was a perfect hip and shoulder. That bump just shows that maybe the SANFL is getting a bit more physical than the afl.
what about the king hit he copped behind play at the northern end pocket and the king hit Boyd got on the wing.

It was a great game today and both sides should be proud of the way they played. The dogs just know how to scrape themselves over the line when it counts.

To both sides =D> =D> =D> =D>

I was going to make a comment about the attention Wingnut received throughout the game. However, let's stay positive and reward everyone on what was a superb Grand Final.

One thing I don't think has been mentioned so far is the umpiring.

The fact they haven't been mentioned says it all - the umpires did a top notch job.

As a neutral observer of the game I thought the umpiring was very consistent. Paid the obvious ones, let the ticky touch ones go.

Thought a few blatant deliberate out of bounds weren't paid though

Absolutely agree with this, and to think Richard williams was 1 of them.

What a game! Definitely the most enjoyable Grand Final.

Thought Norwood were great and so were their supporters. They will definitely be contesting a few Grand finals over the next few years.

Met lots of Norwood supporters at the Alma tonight and they were great.

Well done Dogs. You are amazing and have provided me with some of the best days of my lives... (kinda sounds like a Bryan Adams song!)

Thats what I have thought all finals series, it really is just the kicking the ball directly towards the boundary when there is not a player from the kickers team in sight. It is in the rules that this can be called deliberate but I am happy they dont seem to pay this in SANFL, I have always thought that this should not be deliberate. There was times in the game i wished the legs would have used the boundary as its friend rather than come back in.

As I still try and get a kick each week I cant get out to SANFL games that often but went yesterday and was a fantastic game (with bad result), thought the atmosphere was great and was awesome to see so many at the game. The dogs were just too good when it counted, the goals that they were nailing norwood missed. Callinan and Schell were the real differences in the two side IMO. From watching this game I will deffinately make more of an effort to get out and watch next season. Well played to both teams.

Any chance he will get drafted?

He is a Queensland boy (Morningside) originally, will be back home and on an AFL list (Gold Coast) if what I am hearing is correct...

A great game of footy.

Interesting that it was the older blokes who dragged the Dogs over the line, with the retirements coming the mantle will be tougher than ever to keep their record continuing. For the first time I can remember I think there were some genuine passengers in the Dogs line up today.
