Bulldust. The ball spent hardly any time in Norwood's backline!

Well when it did get down there, McGuiness, Georgiou etc rarely beaten in a 1 on 1 contest, while the likes of Fuller and Puopolo provided plenty of run.

Piss off, the main bloke with the beard busted his gut out there today, pity none of his team mates joined him.

Well done to Norwood. Too good, too strong and too well coached.

Also Spermy, and German thanks ;)

And it's different walking out of Footy pk, without feral supporters from other clubs spitting and swearing at you. They're a nice mob out Norwood way.

Touchy....... ;)
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Bzzt wrong better than 50:50 with North and South

50:50 with Centrals and the Eagles (includes woodville and Torrens)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I thought it was gunna be won of those days
GL 0-0
NW 0-0
Matty Davis appeared to be pushed in the back By Mills
Mills then walks over the line concedes a point
No pressure, simply carries the ball over the line, with no NW player close by
it was as deliberate as could be
It was not paid
I was staggered at the time

bad day at the office today, our worst performance in rubbers tenure at the club, norwood were great, we were tripe for most of it yet still were only 23 points down 10 minutes into the last, and wholeheartedly agree with sjabc, not to be abused by ferals on the way out was probably the best part of the day

Cant believe after 12 months of waiting for redemption, and expecting us to be the ones going 200% in the first 5-10 mins we served that up.

Norwood employed a Centrals type game plan on us and looked what happened. They completely blocked our change of play move that works so well against the lower teams, how many times did we look to square the ball across the back flank and there was a Legs player there blocking it.

Norwood were brilliant, best team Ive seen all year and if they can replicate that against the Dogs they will win.

We tried to break tackles and Norwood were so committed they stuck or at the very least made us dispose poorly. Not one delivery inside 50 was a low spearing kick for our forwards to mark on their chest, all high entries that allowed a disciplined defence to knock away.

Ty Allen was sensational.

The intensity between the 2 games was like chalk and cheese.

Great win today and huge credit to the players and coaching staff. Lower and Gallagher were fantastic but really I thought every player did something.

I thought Allen and Kirk were great for the Bays but too many just had a bad day at the office. the Bays are far from done, football is a funny game and I'd expect to play them again this season.

Agreed Dutchy. I have to go back to a Friday night at Coopers a few months ago, but they are the most skillful team I've seen this year too...

17 Minutes into the first qtr
NW attacked relentlessly and the ball was inside NWs forward line for almost the entire first 17 minutes
Give credit to GL the defence was excellent
It was like 2 prizefighters
NW threw all the punches , but GL hung in there
GL 0-0
NW 0-3
NWs inabilty to take a contested mark inside 50 was a problem
NW should have been about 2-3 goals in front
Both sides intensity at the ball and the player was good
It was an enthralling contest despite the lack of scorebaard conversion

while it was a dissapointing result for us, i can't believe some of the bay faithful are saying it is the worst performance they've seen in mickans tenure....obviously forgotten the 2009 anzac day debacle

James Sellar continues to be a major disappointment. He appears to be slow, awkward and cumbersome, both in his movement and his decision making. I know the old chesnut of ' Big men take longer to develop' is constantly applied to him, but with his supposed potential, he continues to be a fringe dweller, waiting for someone else to grab the game and take it on.

Did anyone else listen to the ABC radio coverage of the game (sorry Big Phil et al at Life FM - remember for my sins that I live in the country)? I swear at one stage I heard Peter Walsh say something along the lines of "and there are four Demons to one Tiger there".
I swear I heard him say Demons!

Listening to the radio, it sounded very much that Norwood played a Centrals type smash 'em at the stoppages game. Good finals football. In my head, I keep having flashbacks to 2002 where Sturt did the same thing. It will be interesting to see if the Legs can maintain that style of play. The good thing too is that they've revealed the way they'll play finals, giving our experienced leadership heads a good chance to plan and counter.

Wondering how much the slog on a sodden Ponderosa took it's toll on the Bays? Would be very interested if anyone was at both Norwood & Eliz last week and could compare the conditions and intensity of the games?

A mate of mine had a radio and was listening to 891 and said the same thing so I doubt the two of you imagined it. Very poor.

Think we've done that all year, today was no different to the majority of performances we've turned in all year.

A sweet victory today, few gave us any chance and the obvious lack of respect from our opponents and their supporters was exposed by being smashed at their own game.

However, we were 'just happy to be there' as one poster put it through the week on a prominent Glenelg supporters site, and unlike our opponents, remain so now.

Thought our legspeed was handy today too. :D

well i was at both games & the conditions were a lot worse at elizabeth than they were at norwood, the intensity was a lot lot greater at elizabeth BUT THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH TODAYS RESULT imho as norwood were way too superior today in every aspect of the game

1/4 time
GL 0-0
NW 2-4
NW finally got some reward
Matthew Fuller got on the end of some fine play and kicks a goal
Whatta time for Matt to kick his first goal in SANFL footy in only his 9th game

GL had about 2 entries inside 50 for the qtr
PANNOZZO and MILLS were outstanding in keeping NW at ''bay''
Great to see Bryce CAMPBELL throwing his body into the clinches
GAGS and LOWER were dynamite around the packs

GL defended well, but were fortunate not be be much further behind

Fair enough, I haven't seen/heard any Norwood games this year.
And, tbh, playing it all year is one thing, not going into your shell and losing that rythm in the heat of finals is another.
Today the Legs showed they've got the idea about playing toguh, finals footy.
Next week will be very interesting.
