No doubt he would need to work on his defensive side and work rate (similar to james boyd) but if he didnt improve it that area than he would be stuck in the ressies and worse case scenario we send him packing to the ammos. Money is not an issue either.

Recentley we have done well out of Slattery, Jenner, Nason, Boyd why not give Marlon a crack.

how big is that salary cap out at Lizbeff?

when you lose The Twins, Sibenaler, Buckets, Switala, etc., there is PLENTY of room!!

Yep, well when you do finally lose them. Let us know. They've been trying to retire for years.

Nah, they've all played for free for years. Maybe retirement after next year. :)

Centurion look at the quality and the type of people you're suggesting the Dogs may lose and if you think replacing them with blokes like Marlon Motlop etc will fill the gap then whatever you're smoking or taking must be top stuff

Former Bloods junior Sean Rusling has announced his retirement from Collingwood and the AFL...

IF he can get the body right, might be a handy forward that Westies are looking for?

Yeah, then all we need to do is recruit Stephen Doyle from Norwood and we can have a forward line of Rusling, Hartlett and Doyle. I'll make a banner if any of them get to 5 games.

Make the banner really really soft might be an idea too

A bit harsh on Rusling - dont reckon he is soft, sh$t shoulders yes, but not soft. Doyle i agree on...

CP wasn't call him soft I don't think, just didn't want him to injure himself running through the banner!

I can't imagine he would have retired from AFL just yet if he could play SANFL in the near future. I suspect he's totally shot and might not play any footy for several years if ever again. Shame, but sadly it's a tough and unforgiving game.

Thanks Marty, you're alright for a Manc ;)

Yes PITB, I wasn't referring to any of those players as soft, they just seem to have fragile bodies.

I think he may be referring to Dessie Drogemuller, he didn't improve much.

Don't forget Mark Jones too.
