Im smelling fear in them!!!

It actually started with Prowling Panther calling Unley a picnic ground. Not sure you still want to refer the same acusations at your own.

Nothing wrong with it being a picnic ground. Good playground, fantastic family atmosphere.

Just seems everytime we play Sturt they always bring up the ground issues at Noarlunga. They seem to have a complex about it....
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

It's pretty obvious from reading this topic that when it was raining brains, most of the South supporters had their umbrellas up....

No Sturt supporter brought ground issues up, I responded to prowling panther (and beginning to wish I hadn't to be fair). Back on topic, Sturt will win. 'Fear the Panthers'? Afraid not my friends. The only thing I fear on Saturday is more complacency. If the 'powder blues' are switched on and prepared mentally, they will get the two points with relative comfort.

To Prowling Panther, I'll take a picnic ground with a good size crowd and atmosphere every day of the week and twice on Sunday's over the alternative down South...

fair enough..
but this bagging of Hickinbotham Oval really gives me the s---ts.

I'll take a ground that is ours and is not owned by the local councils or local ratepayers.
I'll also take a ground that incorporates a licensed facility , not one that is leased somewhere down the road.
I'll also take a ground that we have added value to ,which in fact is ours, not hired/ rented from someone else.
Ill also take a ground where I can get a car park within 500 metres.
It may be cold (its not), it may be a long way away (by today's standards its not,in any case you only have to go there once a year), it may lack atmosphere (Unley would probably lack atmosphere too if Sturt had'nt won a flag for 50 yrs...?)
Critisize it if you like, but it belongs the the SAFC ,we have a 99 year lease; we run it and we will , for the next 99 years.
Get over it and get used to it.

:ymapplause:

Well said Sir!!!!

the lease got bought becuase Mr Rann is a supporter of South. Applaud him not SAFC.

Other than the Artic conditions and wind most weeks down there, South have very good facilities at Noarlunga and IMO their catering is the best in the league by far. I actually don't mind heading there these days.

Only 2 negatives - (1) get rid of the annoying comments after every south goal and (2) Move the scoreboard to a more central location where the view of the majority of spectators is not partially blocked by the light tower!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Any truth to the rumor that last seasons B+F runner up Dylan Williams has left SAFC? (reported on the panthers board)

Brace yourself for some BIG omissions from the Sturt side for this week - and I mean BIG.

Bring it on I say. We've had some blokes underperforming and therefore a spell in the two's will hopefully send a clear message. Our reserves have been playing some good footy and are top with a 5-1 record so there is some talent there that can come in and offer something.

The equation is simple. Twenty one committed, mentally prepared players to pull on the jumper and put the debacle in round 6 behind them.

Sturt rarely lose at Unley. In the past three seasons (2007/08/09) plus two home games thus far in 2010 they have dropped just four games in total.

Shame to lose young Perry, but a few decent Ins there. Interesting to see Tom Caudle named in the centre. Was a good story about him on the advertiser site, talking about him racking up his 100th senior match this weekend, 93 of which were in the ressies. Good to see him rewarded with a league game.

After two very disappointing losses, especially last weeks, I expect the events of this week will have a profound effect on the playing group. Apparently Ron was absolutely livid with the players post game last week, so I would expect a much better performance v Sturt. Its time for a few of the players with names and reputations to step up to the plate and make a solid contribution.South supporters will expect nothing less than a fierce attack on the footy and the opposition.
I will be there on Saturday and am confident of a South victory.

Good changes.

Norman's sent a message that needed to be sent.

I expect the guys promoted to put in super efforts. Great to see Sharples back. :)

Hopefully the guys dropped will take it on board and perform well in the twos.

(wonder if any will follow Williams lead???) ;)

Agreed CC. Had to do something. Fair enough that some of the lads were given a few chances but the statement now had to be made.
All those dropped had been talked about by alot of our supporters that I've spoken to so it's good to see the club is looking at it the same as us.
