I am "reliably" told by supporters of their clubs that Giles (Sturt), Kirkby (Glen) & Lower (Nwd) should all have polled a heap of votes, yet they don't feature in this thread so far. Any chance??

Is there a market yet? I will be on Ezard to go back to back, his good games and our wins tend to coincide.

Nick Lower isn't a standout flashy sort, so may well not get noticed ... If he does then I reckon he should be every chance.

Phillips has gone past the "smokey" category I think and would need to be a leading contender.

As for other Norwood players, McGuiness has polled alright previously and had a very good season, Puopolo has been excellent and stands out, and then Zorsi, Gallagher and probably even Weatherald will take votes from teammates at some stage.

I second this!

I reckon it will be between him and either Liddle (South) or Summerton (Port)...

Having seen all but one westies games this year, I cant see Ezard finishing in the places. He is certainly receiving a lot more attention from opposition clubs and he is slowly learning how to play with a tag.

For pure class and skill, Callinan rightfully deserves the medal.

Fair call mate, I dont think too many could argue with IC taking home the medal

Ian Callinan by the length of the Flemington straight.

At this stage could have between 10-15 votes so far.

Callinan has been tagged heavily over the last few weeks and will probably continue to do so. I reckon Phillips will give it a huge shake!

Yeah good call i think Paul Thomas will be around the mark, may suffer though from getting 1 and 2 votes as i think Callinan may have a few 3 vote games in the bag.

Will not win it but watch out for Jonno Beech to poll a few votes. His last 4-6 weeks have been outstanding for us.

Ian Callinan will win it comfortably at this stage though.

I think the Redhead from South will go alright but due to not enough wins may get alot of 1 votes. I reckon he may poll in alot of games though.

For Callinan to be a big chance whufc he would want to have at least 10 votes in his pocket as we are at the 1/2 way mark of the season and you generally need around the 20 votes mark.

I would agree, but to me he does too much 'little', unnoticed stuff.

Lower's a gem.

So does Lower fit the criteria of "fairest and most brilliant" ?

- Top SANFL player but I question the "brilliant" part.

One out of left field, Hayes from Centrals, his form the past month has been outstanding, and takes a lot of pack marks.
