So he'd be a straight swap for Slade then?

I haven't seen a Centrals Vs South match recently so I can't say (IIRC I had other things planned when we played them)...

I'll let others be the judge of that one.

The Eagles are in front for Parry. Centrals and North going hard after Boyd.

Is there anything to the rumour going around at the moment that Norwood are over the salary cap limit again???

Norwood were over the salary cap in 2008.

They then recruited several high priced players in 2009.

Therefore they have no doubt been passed okay for 2009 :D

No truth to the rumour.

Certainly not what I'm hearing.

Any truth to the rumour that Parry left because he wanted permission to go away during the season and miss some games and South would not let him go?

Does this mean that the Eagles are happy with that arrangement?

Parry is not the ruckman we should be targeting.

We should be looking at getting Mieklejohn

An interesting situation....... The Board of South Adelaide approve Parry going overseas when signing his contract then a new coach comes in and tries to make a statement saying he cant go...... Then, we lose our best player. ~x( ..... Its one thing to make a statement but we need to think a little more long term than one game next year. Parry is the best ruckman in the comp and we could have kept him for the next 3 or 4 years by which time we should be able to build a team around him. Not a good start Ron.

I was told this story by a "south" person when I thought it was Rons fault(he was known to do things like this at woodville) .I was told it was more the football manager who had stuffed up.Not passing on the info to Ron .
By the way thanks footy manager Eagles new number 1 recruit is Craig Parry .Me thinks he shouldn't be managing the mini league let alone the league.
Cant wait until Eagles V Panthers in 2010

Not sure if you would want to build your team around him ..

I know its irrelivent and both players are gone now. But, and correct me if i am wrong, but was it not these two players who have left the club, who represented that very club on an overseas 'mission'. Somewhat ironical in my opinion. says something about their committment. I think the club is better off without them and the club should be commended for the way its been handelled.

How many more will follow Boyd and Parry out the door. Geeezzz I thought South had a ton of problems before but with the appt of Fuller as coach could tear the club apart. Wise up Panthers you have made a huge mistake.

I will welcome Parry to Oval Ave with open arms because it was clear to most that dobba was out of his depth as lead ruckmen.

Parry and Boyd were moved on because they were not commited to the cause.....South have done the right thing...if they are to improve they must have a committed list of players......the weak ones will be weeded out and Ron will find them ......
