FWIW 31500-32000. Would love to see 37-38000
Easy scapegoat, FlyingHigh. I recall two years ago that 7,794 at the preliminary final came under fire - with two teams that have an infinite more support than ours, why isn't 8,184 under the same scrutiny?
Even in 2003 (and I love this fact) there were 10,133 to the Preliminary Final. Who played that day?
The reason we haven't copped any flak this year is because these damn finals have been at Footy Park. No-one wants to catch 2 buses or drive that far to go there.
The only advantage of it is that everyone who was a contender for this years GF got to play there before the GF.
BTW, I'm thinking 32,694 and I'll admit this much, if we are up at halftime another 5000 Sturt supporters (?) will rock up again in the 3rd qtr as they did in 02. You people know who you are.

While I'm really grateful to the ABC for their coverage - and this is something we should NEVER take for granted - I dearly wish it wasn't on live (or virtually live). Kills any chance of luring back those once-fans who have strayed to the dark side....

My tip is 38,000
That makes me laugh![]()
It would be great for SANFL Football to see that crowd number at Footy Pk Sunday but theres no chance what so ever of that number.
Combine the membership of both clubs you'll get 7000.
Taking that into consideration my estimation for this weeks Grand Final is 19,550 if your lucky.

You would hope so, it was a Grand final FFS. And did anyone pay? Everyone I know that went had free tickets.
I had to laugh at 5AA at the mall asking the SANFL to send down a heap of free tickets, cause Central fans could not afford to go

Actually it was more than several Adelaide games as well. Adelaide v Western Bulldogs (12:40 game on Mothers Day), Adelaide v North Melbourne (Sunday twilight in appalling conditions) and Adelaide v Fremantle (Saturday night, near perfect conditions) all drew about 31 000 -32 000 this year.
