You beauty, it's excellent we're playing Sturts in this weekend's grand final.
Should be a really good game.
It will be Sturts's first grand final since 2002.
Lots to play for for both sides.

Will Sturts have Chambers playing for them? A big question.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I think you might see a few changes for sturt this week. Chambers, Kurtze, Vassal and Sharples will all come into consideration. Thurstans would have to be in some doubt also.

I'm not a doctor but have dislocated my knee before. Because the knee shifted (for me), the joint was "irritated", resulting in the whole knee swelling considerably. I couldn't walk properly or put much weight on the knee for a couple of weeks. of course I didn't have access to the rehab and drugs that Toby will.

Who's gonna win? Who would know? Everyone saying Centrals are comfortable favourites, but only just fell over the line in two games, so not necessarily playing dominant footy. On the other hand, this having to work hard for their wins should remove complacency.

I actually believe Sturt have more room for improvement than Centrals. I don't think Sturt have got the balance right - trying to play too much precision footy rather than going long, perhaps to a contested situation to put the oppositions defence under pressure. I also think they can get more out of their half-forward line, which is connected to the previous point. Sometimes their HF line could lead harder, but then perhaps that isn't the game-plan.

Interested to hear Sturt supporters thoughts on Tristian Gum. Know he got a number of touches against the Eagles (early?), but overall as now a more senior player needs to more against the better sides?

HEAD:
Central 2.6 6.8 11.14 13.17
Sturt 1.2 4.5 5.8 7.10
Jack Oatey: Scott Dutschke
Crowd: 31,631

HEART:
Sturt 5.0 10.6 12.10 17.15
Central 3.3 5.8 8.10 11.11
Crowd: 38,972
Jack Oatey: Coad

So, if Sturt win the crowd will be bigger?

The bandwagoners will arrive at half time. :D

No one should be even contemplating Chambers will be available.... Thurstons would also be very doubtful.

I reckon the Sturt players will know what the situation with Chambers is asap.
Will he or wont he......not the thoughts that will be in their minds, just an added distraction, they will know so they can be totally focussed on the job at hand.
Would it be possible for him to play even if not fully fit? Will they take that chance?

...anything go right for you yesterday, bayman?

I hope you keep a copy of that footage to show your son in future years; for when the Bays win a Grand Final. Who knows, that image might even spur the team on to greater highs in the near future.

Would have to be very tempting. Often seems to backfire if it is a midfielder, but perhaps a forward could get away with it? Could mean the focus taken off Herring. Or perhaps play him as the second forward, and if they get just 3 goals from him it could make a huge difference.
