Apparently we just beat the best side in the SANFL

I know that it must be frustrating for other supporters but it was for us losing so many finals in a row. And watching Port & Sturt win lots of GFs in a row. I am just exstatic about going to another GF but have thought that this year's finals series has been one of the most competitive that I have ever seen.
We used to be good :-(

rd17 results and todays game

RD17
GL 2-2...4-7...7-11...11-15
CD 5-4...8-5...11-9...12-9

FINAL
GL 2-1...7-4...10-9...11-13
CD 2-3...5-7...7-7...12-9

Uncanny how both sides came from 3/4 time deficits and the final scoreline was almost identical

GL have not beaten CD in about the last 6 meetings
But they have bridged the gap on the last 2 efforts

CD are beatable judging by ST/GL getting narrowly beaten so far
Its just a matter of the teams that get 3-4 goals in front must continue with the style that got them that far in front
Both ST/GL seemingly played too accountable and not thrilling enough when it counted
Both sides should note how NW beat CD in RD22 .....

PS
Both finals today the winners kicked 12 goals the losers 11

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier in the year we had a Doggies supporter collapse with a heart attack during a game. The dogs have been trying to give a few more supporters heart attacks with 3 consecutive heart stopping games.

Today, after a tight first half, it looked like Glenelg were going to run away with it with a 26 point lead halfway through the third quarter. However, this Centrals side doesn't give up finals without one almighty fight, and despite trailing by 20 points at three quarter time, we all know we've come from further behind before in finals to win! With the first two goals in as many minutes in the last quarter, it was back to 8 points and game on! Another two goals, and halfway through the last quarter WE'RE IN FRONT!!!!

Glenelg get one back and regain the lead. Then Ryan Williams (like Giles last week) goes from villain to hero kicking the match sealer with a surprisingly easy open goal. Then Kirkby has the chance to send Glenelg straight into the Grand Final, but doesn't even make the goals, and our defence rushes the ball through for a behind. Then after what seemed like an eternity, we get the ball and with loose men everywhere on the outer win we were away, then Schelly takes the match - could he kick the sealer.

SIREN, Centrals are in their 10th straight Grand Final, and Glenelg suffer their first loss since ANZAC Day!

GO UUUUUUUUUU DOGS!!!!!!!!

One final thing, what was the free kick count in the end?
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

just gonna copy and paste what i put on the louts

our kicking for goal cost us the match, pure and simple, we dominated in the 3rd but didnt take our chances, the 20pt margin at 3/4qtr time left the door open and they barged thru it. They know how to win these games and obviously we dont. Absolutely devastated at the result but we must move on to next week against our bitches and earn another crack. I know we pride ourselves on not knocking our players on this site but one guy has to go and we all know who it is, the writing has been on the wall for over 12 months now and its got to be sayonara or whatever it is. Well done to the cdfc, you truly are the benchmark as if we didnt already know, i dips me lid to roy and the boys, as much as it hurts to say it THEY ARE THE BEST.

not much more to add
Go The Tiges!!!

What a great game our boys never give in, thought the bays were the best team most of the day but could not put us away, but what can you say about these boys they do not know the meaning of giving up.
Spurr had a cracking last Qtr Willo gave his all and actually hit targets today,Sansbury was electrifying at times.
To all the people around us that kept on slagging off the Gowans boys they talk the talk because they walk the walk,we would not have this amazing record of 10 straight GF if not them,MAY THEY PLAY FOREVER.

Centrels has the mental toughness to win those games. Its all up stairs, and Centrals have it. Its simple as that.

I really don't know what to say. Great final we had our chances but to kick 4-9 on the last half well we got he result we deserved. Sometimes though you have to sit aback and admire the way they go about it.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You my friend should be lined up and shot.,your post wreaks of sour grapes, jealousy, and a complete disrespect for my club.
If you want to post garbage like that on something your club has nothing to do with at the moment go ahead.
From my point of view i went to a final with 2 fantastic teams, playing their guts out, which resulted in an epic finish.
Yes you my friend wanna take stock and start throwing out garbage comments in areas where you are involved.
Not dragging down a final that YOU have no impact or say in.
Go home, have a drink, and forget the crap you dished up,cause at the moment you look like a bitter waste of space ,like a lost dog hanging around looking for a tree to piss on.

What he said!

P.S Is ten GFs in a row a record? I remember in the eighties a Port Sticker "History makers, record breakers" I was so envious of that.

I think this is part of the problem. Way too much "admiration" for the Doggies is turning them invincible in our minds.

Non-Central fans, where's the agro gone? I say, stop applauding them & stop thinking it's OK to lose to them. Get dirty on them. They are taking all our premierships. They have 2 arms and 2 legs like the rest of us so there's no reason for the other 8 clubs to roll over to them in finals, game after game, year after year. All while us non-Centrals fans talk the Doggies up.

Fire up already!!!!! IT IS NOT OK to lose to them anymore in finals. Ring your club and tell the receptionist. Go to training and tell the coach. Post on there ... just do something!!!!

Sorry for the rant Tassie, I have been busting to say something like this and you opened the door.
In between signatures .....

Unbloody believable a fantastic game by both sides what a heart stopper how the Dogs won it i have not a clue, and to Sploosh were you at the game if not you missed a great spectacle so your ranting and absurd comment is absolute rubbish in other words you haven't got a clue mate this was one of the greatest second semi finals i have ever seen, the Bays should have won.

Seriously, had to have a chuckle whilst opening my dole cheque and sipping my beam...
I digress, anyone who agrees that Central's dominance of the competition in the recent era is 'boring repetitiveness is killing off the viability of the competition' is an uneducated git.
Seriously guys, was at the game and the centrelink jokes are old, NOT FUNNY BAYS!!!! hahahahaha
Good luck to Sturt next week!

True but I think people overplay the mental toughness card to some degree. Player for player they are a higher skilled, faster and stronger team. Other teams might get in front but the better team wins. Sure a lot of it is their mental toughness but at their best they are simply a better team than Sturt and Glenelg.
