Hindsight is a beautiful thing, but regardless of todays result that was a stupid comment.

After a dog of a year, Im glad it's all over, personally for me that's the highlight .. Of course it's always good to finish the year with a win, but I think perspective needs to be kept.

Central were terrible today by their lofty standards, and would need to improve massively on that for the finals ... That said, they rarely play two stinkers in a row so I think they'll bite back hard next week.

Hayes will surely get at least a game (even in the SANFL) for his courageous effort.

Bigger ground and mental strength will help the Dogs as of next week, but they'll need to take their game up to their usual September effort to cause the damage they normally do.

I'm hoping the dogs played their final last week. It would be nice to see them go out in straight sets - it has to happen one day

Im a wrap for Sturt's ability mate, but they have some question marks over the closed-in style and maybe mentally .. The two area's the Dogs would list as strengths.

Not going to be an easy game next week for either team (and I reckon should be a beauty for neutrals), but I reckon the Dogs will react to their poor form today so your boys would need to be on song.

Sam, Do you think the game was decided on dodgy umpiring decisions or did Norwood play better over the course of the game? I wasn't there so would like to know.

No i do not think the game was decided on dodgy umpiring decisions, but in close games there is always going to be 1 or 2 that you look back at and think what if?
Bottom line is Centrals only have themselves to blame for letting the game get to a position where it could have been decided by a decision or 2.

FWIW some of those people were Norwood supporters simply making the point that the game could have gone either way.

LOL, seems so AH. Especially when Central won so convincingly last time these teams played at the Parade earlier this year. ;)

Not a possibility, he was reported by the field umpire so it is a definite.

A game or two would be on the money IMO, was out of character but very crass.

Well played today Norwood, bottled us up nicely.

If its what I saw on the ABC news , A Dogs player crashing late into a Norwood player after a marking contest 60 m out from the southern goals in the Norwood Htl pocket?? IMO, at worst 1 week but that would be harsh
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

He'll most likely be alright then if it doesn't look too bad on video ... It was a blatant charge that should probably get him a game, Im all for defenders or forwards running straight at anyone who fills their space, but there wasn't a lot to be achieved from that one except give away a certain goal.

Based on a 5 sec video looked like a late charge, I'm assuming a 50 was paid that is all it should get. Didn't look like there was any contact to the head to make it look meore serious than late forcefull contact following a mark. IMO.

No. He was reported by the umpire. The way today went and with our luck I'm expecting 3 games.

It already has! Where were you between 1972 & 1994? Having experienced those finals campaigns, I certainly don't want to return to the "good old days".

I can't believe the amount of disrespect shown to Centrals in this thread   ...one shocker and everyones writing them off (Sturt and Norwood don't have shockers do they?)...you would of thought after the last 10 years that ppl on here would have shown Centrals more respect [-X...

The real football starts next weekend...

...and Norwood (after being predicted by a lot of punters at the start of this season to be a top 3 contender) won't be there...

Geez, nothing motivates Sturt supporters to post more than a Centrals loss!!!

I think we've already had more comments from the Sturt faithful on this match, than made the entire thread on last weekends game.
