Did they prefer Jars? ;)

Umm crowds are up Dutchy, we were running 3rd in home crowds this year for a while too and have comprehensively outnumbered opposition supporters every game. Not like you to make a stupid and wrong comment so I'll let this one pass. ;)

It was rubbish for NAFC and rubbish for the SANFL's customers. And IIRC it was you who was basking in the excitement of North played such ATTACKING football a few years back.

No need to apologise and I'm not sure where you're coming from, I'm not basking in North's new style of football in fact I think its goddamn awful to watch. In fact I think the SANFL as a whole is delivering garbage this year, I haven't seen one decent match and the 2 VFL games I've watched have been a pleasure to watch. Hawthorn dished up garbage in the AFL Grand Final last year too, I'm not going to be complaining if it gets us a flag down the track. I'm not saying I enjoy it, I just pointed out to you how you were about 5 years behind in your observation of NorthI really don't care what style of football North play these days, might have been different in the past when I actually went to the football to watch the football.

PS LOL @ lego man, I thought Ray Martin was at full forward for Sturt when they first ran out!

Bloody band wagoners those North supporters, they move up 2 spots in the ladder and their average attendance rises by 600 people a game. ;)

Not like us Central supporters we win the premiership and our crowd averages goes down

Sturt's Ben Nelson copped a heavy knock to the face from last weekend's game, here is a little piece from the Messenger

STURT midfielder Ben Nelson will have surgery on a depressed fracture in his cheekbone tomorrow.

The veteran suffered a knock to the face in Saturday’s win over North Adelaide and has been in mild pain since.

``I was tackled and as I went down my face clashed with a knee in the middle of a pack,’’ he said.

``At the time it was more of a shock than intense pain.

``It’s a bit sore and hard to eat, and it’s a bit harder to laugh at Chambo’s (Brant Chambers) gags.’’

Nelson, who has been in encouraging form for Sturt after overcoming pre-season groin surgery, hopes to return after this weekend’s bye.

He has done all training, except the competitive work, at Unley Oval this week.

``I’ll certainly be putting my hand up,’’ he said.

``I may have to wear a helmet at the start, but then you’ve got a target on your head if you wear a helmet so I’ll wait and see.’’
