As pointed out by Jai Bendall on the messenger website, in the leading goal kickers list from last week...

Chad O'Sullivan (from Central of course) was listed as being from 'Chad' - the African country

Jai Bednall @ Messenger Community News wrote:6. Chad O’Sullivan (Central) (6)
(K: 14, M: 2, H: 7, T: 2, S: 1.1)
Breaking news: According to the goalkicking ladder in last weekend’s footy budget O’Sullivan has left the Bulldogs and is now playing for a landlocked country in Central Africa.

And another boot - had alook at the sanfl site and the summary given by phillips and co of the under 15 champs is a discrace. If you are gonna summarize the event at least cover all games and get the kids names right. One gets the feeling it is all about the chiefs !!!! Absolute rubbish.

Yeah, rehash thread, I know. I recall a question I saw in the Round 22 budget:

(exactly as printed)
6) Which SANFL club did Adelaide Crows coach Neil Craig play for?

Following on from the howler in the Budget on page 3 about a month ago (Round 23?) with that picture of Eddie Sansbury that was really Andrew Hayes...in the Grand Final budget on page 20 there is an article on Trent Goodrem with one picture of Trent but the person in the picture is actually Jarrod Schiller!!!

Not so much an error but maybe Jason McKenzie's player profile could have been worded slightly differently
Trust the process.

2011 Season, Round 4 Budget...

I'll skip past the article on Clint Alleway, showing him about to play against South, the only game shot is Clint rucking against a Port opponent...

* Page 13 mentions the business luncheon with Jason Akermanis...why would you advertise something when it is sold out???
* The page 27 Central team lineup lists Corey Reichert...page 14 injury list mentions Corey being sidelined with an ankle injury for 3 weeks...
* Page 26 mentions the 2010 SANFL Grand Final as being played on "Sat October 2 2010"...

I still buy the budget..... but dont bother reading the articles.... I only use it for player numbers.

Maybe the budget should just downsize to teamsheets for all the games..... or even better become a news outlet now that the Advertiser has scaled down its coverage.

I was just reading this week's Football Budget, turned to Page 11: R.O.Shearman Medal.

North v Norwood:
5 James Allan - North
4 Bryce Campbell - Norwood

Okay so far .....

Then ... 3 votes for Dean Terlich - Norwood.

WHAT THE ....????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy played the game from hell against North. He was continually being caught with the ball after not disposing of it quickly enough. When he DID get the ball, he usually chose the wrong option, and when he disposed off it by foot, it was usually a shank. He played so poorly last weekend, he was our worst player. A number of Norwood supporters where calling for him to be dropped ... and yet somebody has awarded him 3 bloody votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd really like to know who is the peanut responsible for that.

Not sure if it's Scott's figures or not but in this weekends Budget, Centrals FOR score is listed as 616 (vs Scott's 617) and Sturt's AGAINST score is listed as 635 (vs Scott's 636)...

Also, the SHL ladder has Central in 4th. :?

The conflict emanates from the Round 6 Sturt v Centrals game where the SANFL results website (still) has the Dogs as scoring 16.6.102, however, I have 16.7.103 as that's what the Champion Data statistics have and I'm told the goal umpire's scorecards had in the end.

Us Central supporters will keep that one in mind just in case it goes right down to the wire this season...
