Norwood can still recruit, it just can't sign anyone until March 2010. As I said, recruitment is not our biggest problem right now.

I would have thought that will be extended.... Breach the salary cap in 2008 and then add Jericho, Campbell, McGuiness, Massie to your list and get yourself under the Salary Cap.......

That obviously would be against the spirit of the ban and presumably will not be allowed to happen. The edict simply needs to be that no new player from outside Norwood's zone can be registered for the 2010 season.

But it wasn't the edict .. I think a one year ban from some date in March until the same date in March the following year was the ruling.

As AH said, any real Norwood fan wouldn't be at all concerned by recruiting when there's so much more to be fixed before that even rates a mention.

No, we tried something different today. Instead of handballing to each other, we handballed to West players instead. You can't complain about the skills today .. there weren't any.

OUCH.

Yeah? Well, the other 8 clubs had better worry the SANFL doesn't decide to clamp down on salary cap breaches or you'll all go. The only reason Norwood were found out is because we owned up to it. God only knows why when we weren't doing anything the other clubs aren't doing. Another thing we've got wrong this season. Don't worry about us, worry about yourself.

If that is true, that is a disgrace. The Board should never chose another club over their own.

i thought the first 3 quarters that it was like watching to non chasers at the dogs race up the straight the way the game 'ebbed & flowed', i always thought from midway through the third term that west were doing enough to win & they were definately the more desperate of the 2 teams & infact i think malwoods only highlight of the day was sam rowe as he was the only malwood player to put his hand up for the entire game, sure others drifted in & out of the game but rowe clearly was malwoods only highlight for the day...special thanks to the bookies for over rating malwood as the odds of 6/4 were delightful

dedja wrote:There is absolutely no spirit in this 'Legs team, they seem to be playing as individuals, don't do any of the hard things and don't run, and if Soda's 3Q time report on Hill is correct, then he's completely lost the players.

For those at the ground who heard Hill's 3Q address, did he really say that he's had a gut full that the players don't listen to the coaches and asked them what they thought they should do in the last? If this is true then I'd agree with the many 'Legs supporters that have been asking for Hill's head, and more importantly, shows that the team is in disarray as they showed nothing in the last.

If this is true then I agree with Dedja, Hill has the lost the players as listening to it on the radio it sounded like they didn't give a yelp in the last qtr. Crikey the last quarter sounded so lame I actually turned it over to MMM to get a Crows score that how predictable the result seemed to be.

As a Bays fan I hope Hill stays, one less team to worry about, but for suffering fans like Fester, CP, AH et al for their sake I hope he falls on his sword because after appealing to the palyers and allegedly accusing them of not listening to the coaches, well after last qtr there is really on one course of action for him to take this week.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Well I'd find it hard to believe that even the SANFL could allow the intent of one of their rulings to be so easily circumvented.

Well done WA
But it would be nice to play WA with 3/4 of a team instead of 1/2 team
Undermanned both defeats v WA in 2009

Thought todays game should of been played tomorrow and the Port North game Today.

My reasoning. Most norwood Suppoters are Crows so they would been at Aami. The crowd looked small today. Most Magpies supporters are Power supporters. With Power being live tomorrow it might be a small crowd at Alberton

Doubt it, with the Power playing the Cats most Port fans will be looking for an excuse to be nowhere near a TV.

Mal, you're only as good as the team you place on the park. Injuries may be a factor, but it's still not an excuse for the way we are playing.

Warren Partland wrote in the Sunday Mail that the game was not a game for the highlights reel. I've seen too many of those types of game this season.

AH, what Norwood owned up to was a further small breach after being found to have breached the cap by a more substantial amount.
I believe they also breached the cap in 2007. Can they make it 3 in a row?
