Im hoping the heavens are clear so i can wear my newly purchased South t-shirt for the very first time to a game.

If we save all our Sunday prayers for a devine South performance we just may be granted a miracle from above.

well we all know south will need divine intervention, however their problem is more earthly than heavenly because for south to win they'll have to be first to the ball on most occaisions & first on the scoreboard & those 2 ingrediants are on earth not in heaven
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Perhaps they're really praying for a new Devine home?

And FWIW I've been a bit disappointed with Swooper for a couple of years now. He wins so little of the ball these days he needs to be super precise with his skills, and he just doesn't seem to be anymore. Perhaps he's playing a different role but I dare say if he's playing as a tagger or a limited role then a kid is a better choice.

Slattery needs to be treated like every other player: you get picked when you show you deserve the spot. He might be BOG every week somewhere else, but if he comes here and doesn't perform he doesn't play in the top side. When he does, no doubt he'll go in and will hold his spot until someone else deserves it more.

And I think it's time for both Big Phil anbd UK fan to grow up and stop sniping each other. You're both acting like pathetic school kids. You can very easily make a point without going out of your way to have a crack at the other all the time. Heck, you can even sometimes not agree with someone without making it personal!

how does Dunne keep getting picked with premiership players like Switala Cochrane Goodrem and Slattery playing reserves ???

Yeah Dunne started off brilliantly but has come back to the field a bit performance wise, i think though he will understand that with all these quality footballers coming back through the reserves one bad performance now may be enough to push him out the side.

I agree Grahaml but if you understood the sniping ways of UK Fan both on here and another forum, you would understand why I give back as much as I get. To be honest, the context of our posts on this particular thread are quite timid compared to the past, but he seems to have some kind of personal vendetta against me, and anyone else that he doesn't agree with him. I guess I would like for him to come and introduce himself to me face to face tell me what his problem, as opposed to hiding behind his computer like a keyboard warrior all the time.

You go back through all of his posts and he simply loves to come on here and stir the pot, constantly having digs at people. It pi$$es me off that he calls me Big Note and I just don't understand why he has to be so innapropriate all the time. I understand that forums are there for the opinions of individuals and of course, everyone is not always going to agree with each other but it is the context of what he writes and the cheap pathetic pot shots that I just see as pointless and unneccessary. Enough said, thread back on track now...

From past experiences, the Panthers are probably the hardest side to get a selected team from. Sometimes it is posted on the SANFL web site but not as often as other sides. I have never seen one on the SAFC web site or on their fan forum either.

Normally I just wait for the 'Tiser Footy Liftout tomorrow but I'm currently tuning into the 5RPH League Teams Show and have an interest in the Panthers side for this week so will try and jot it down when Zac Milbank reads them out and then I'll post it on here later on.

Didn't get enough time to post the South side last night so from The Advertiser today, here is the Panthers line up:

PANTHERS LEAGUE SIDE:

FF: M.Farmer B.Warren L.Ryan
HF: L.Schmidt A.Cockshell P.Rolfe
CL: A.Splitt M.Handby M.Cook
HB: D.Williams A.Carlile M.Sandery
FB: J.Crate B.Crabb M.Smith

1R: S.McKernan J.Torney J.Boyd
INT: (from) T.Redigolo S.Elliot J.Thewlis J.Kennedy-Hunt T.Caudle

INTO 23: M.Farmer J.Kennedy-Hunt T.Caudle

I'm not going to bother to repsond to that other than to say let's just move on shall we as the thread is about the Panther v Central game.

I look forward to seeing how Ricky Henderson backs up from his impressive debut last week and will be interesting to see how Mitch Farmer goes this week in South's league side.

I just asked for further clarification on whether Slatts had played some footy this year. I honestly didnt think that was innapropiate or stirring the pot. Really no need to throw a tanty Big Note.

I certainly didnt mean to dent your ego and apologise if this small question did.

Can we start a thread "I Hate it when the media acts like 4 y.o olds".

Once again, if you 'kids' have finished having fun taking pot shots at me, do you think we could get the thread back on topic. I don't think anyone else cares what we think about each other.

Interesting that not only has Mitch Farmer been named for South but he has been placed in the Forward Pocket as opposed to starting on the bench. Not bad for a player that was named second best in the magoos last week...

I see that other forum and know that he's been antagonising you, but if both sides are going to have a crack at the other at whatever opportunity they can it won't stop. If it bothers you (and it bothers me that half of every thread I read is sniping BOTH ways) then the easiest way to stop it is to take the higher ground, act like the grown up and don't bother letting him know it bothers you. It's like a bloody arms race! Let him have his gun if he wants, you don't need to get a bazooka! Of course, if you want it to stop altogether just figure out what he doesn't like about you and quell that.

If you're both happy the way things are and think you're right and just in what you write then keep going. Just don't expect too many people to think much of you. Your choice on whether that matters to you or not.

Second best in the ressies, at a new club where he doesn't know anyone is a fair effort IMHO. I think he's done enough to be worth a shot starting on the ground. Show the kid some faith and who knows what he might produce for you.
