Frustrating game to watch. Could not hit a target inside 50 all day and there was very little clean footy.

I like the way that Splitt and Crate are coming alone. Carlile gives his all but is undersized for his position but is worth continuing with.

McKernan good in ruck but his direct opponents had plently of it around the ground.

Its no wonder the previous Chairman was around so long with half wits like Colbumpus & Matt (better late then never ) 1 , backing him up all those years ; blind sheep ! .................................................. Anyway , a man walking by a farm notices 2 pretty blond girls working in the field , curious , he calls them over and asks why the one in front is digging a hole then the one behind is filling it up ? They tell him they arent sure as their other blond sister who handles the plants is away sick today ! [ quote="Columbo"]

You guys troubled the Eagles with that run on handball or AFL style particularly in the second term .What let the Panthers down was poor disposal coming in from all the hand balling .

Must as that was my second time at the ground was nice to hear from ground announcer leading possession getters and goal kickers all day .
Something my eagles and other teams could well do .Keeps us fans/members informed .

Im glad to know my support for Les Stevens was what kept him in the job so long, never knew I had so much influence!

The reason I take exception to most of what you say is that almost everything you write paints a negative picture of the club as has been outlined above by CCL.
From memory you werent a fan of Andrew Rogers despite him getting the 2's into last years GF after being bottom early in the season, you obviously aren't a fan of Ron Fuller and some of his assistants and you have on numerous occasions made comments about the club's former chairman despite all the work he did over a long period of time.
There is something that those 3 men that have all been great servants of THE EAGLES have in common, surely that isnt the reason for all the negative comments...or maybe it is??

Regards Colbumpus

Only thing I'll disagree with here is that a white ant generally does his work from the inside..... Holden was on the outer even when he was a part of his former Club and now at our new Club!!!! You are pitiful Holden. I am embarassed that the old form of my Club has produced a loser supporter like you who has nothing better to do than try and bring the new place down.

Its so nice to have all the " old " Eagles really fired up now for the rest of the season , thats what we need from more of our supporters , as we have even less members then last year thanks to the ex Chair ! Oh and if Fairclough cares to glance at the back of his 06 medal , he will notice G. Colville written neatly in the middle [ give it back , at least he earned it ! ] . New Chair seems to be a welcome appointment for the future , heres hoping anyway . :o

Hows your form holden78, firstly wrapping all the supporters for having a bit of fire in the belly and then criticising others, before totally belittling one of the clubs most promising juniors at the time. Paints a pretty clear picture of the type of supporter you really are.... one that no club needs!!!
Oh and if you were at the game you would realise that Colville was actually presented a premiership medallian anyway, so stop your complaining, because he wasnt fit enough to play the game and he still got one

Without wanting to drag this on any longer,

It seems you had/have issues with the "ex chair" must say im curious as to what they are, if you care to elaborate because you think I have no idea what I'm on about send me a PM. According to CD's post on the latest Eagles News thread, membership is at about the same figure now as it was last year at this point.

As for the comments about Sam, If i recall correctly it wasnt him that replaced Gav in the GF side, it was Paul Stewart.

Finally I will agree with your last comment regarding the new chairman and think along with the new General Manager "our" club is in very good hands.
Trust the process.
