Absolutely shocking. I posted my thoughts on an Advertiser forum where hopefully it will be heard by someone who cares:

All the more reason for Thebarton to be given a go at hosting SANFL finals, they can hardly do any worse.....

For Sturt fans to say we should have won by more....fair dinkum

Don't forget, we also played 3 games in 11 days.
From what I saw the Bays took their foot off the pedal a bit in the second half but still looked like the superior team and the result was probably a fair indication of how both sides played.
The Bays supporters were quite excited up our end in the last and all I say is, I have no problem with that, unlike some opposition supporters that whinge when we enjoy our wins. The usual banter went on and it was fun. You need to be able to cop it when you lose and savour it when you win because as you've seen by our recent form you don't know when your next win may be coming.
Is that 8 in a row against us now?

was horrible. long lines at dunnies. wont go there again until they sort it out. they better make the new stand look good because they destroyed a lovely stand in the process.

the game was all over by 1/4 time. gfc had winners everywhere. sturt midfield cudnt get the ball and if they did cudnt use it. sturt defence was beseiged with quality ball coming in to gfc forwards.

We've had this discussion 2 weeks ago, you said it was a ranga and I told you there is no rangas in the Sturt Cheer Squad. Get it through your thick skull that IT WASN"T A CHEER SQUAD MEMBER YOU WERE TALKING TO. No one has said anything about winning flags in the cheer squad and i'm there every week leading the chants. Other Sturt supporters may have but not us. We were happy and enjoying the win.
Clear enough for you now?

The way the Sturt supporters carried on during the last quarter when they demolished Central you could have been forgiven for thinking they had been handed the premiership cup already.

I think the players must have that attitude as well.

Remember Sturt fans, especially a few who post on here 1 victory doesn't make a season.

You need to do more than smash the reigning premiers in June, to start sledging seven time premiership players.

I totally stand by what I said...that several members of Sturts cheersquad were absolutely going off (loudly) saying that Sturt have basically now won the flag...in particular the "ranga" (he was in his 20's, clean shaven, reddish brown hair, medium height, wearing a hat) at the front. It got so bad that even the bloke I know as "Big Chris" in the Sturt cheersquad thought they were a disgrace and should stop saying it...

Not that Sturt should be worrying about winning a premiership this year as going on the last two of your performances, you've been well and truely put back in your box.

Arguably the most pleasing win for our club this weekend. The best bit is that it, as MT79 says, keeps the pressure on the league boys to perform as there are about six blokes in the 2s really pushing for spots, Macca, O'grady, Buttsy, Rob Plant, Jarrod Kellock and Lachie McGregor to name but a few. The worst bit is that it confirms what we all know that with a 50% turnover in 2s players Micky Godden is starting to build a formidable unit to push for the 2s flag. Don't think we'll have Godsy at the Bay much longer. Quality bloke and a quality coach.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

NFI really but if as expected one or two senior positions become available at the end of the year they could do worse if they ignore Mr Godden.

No, I don't have to wait. Unless someone can tell me that they're replacing what they've knocked down with a carbon copy style-wise of what was there before, I think its an abomination. The Bradman Stand is brilliant, it fitted in perfectly with the original stands, then it was downhill as the SACA decided to put up those sail-like Chappell stands, OMG! I'm sure they think what they're doing is great, but for me, that ground will have lost 100% of its charm. Might as well rip down the scoreboard next...

Sounds like sour grapes to me... anytime you smash a team, I think they're fair game for some banter... we've all come across wanker supporters, why whine about it on here? Just makes it look like you can't take it.

I can take it no worries but calling 7 time premiership player hacks and never beens is a bit rich considering they have more premierships than the whole sturt team together and jack oatey medals.

A victory in June is great but i aint season over.
