They say stripes are slimming, judging by todays Sunday Mail, apparently not...

Well not purple and white ones anyway....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Stripes are slimming, but don't perform miracles.

1. To read / find out about WAFL is good - well done :D

2. No one in the history of the game IMHO had better 'hands' than A. Jarman - including Greg Williams & Russell Ebert.

3. IMHO D. Jarman was the better player - just 8)

4. With a 0 - 6 record, perhaps he could be coaching the 'Cows' ;)

Jarman has quit. Heading back to Adelaide he reckons.

Enjoy.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Not sure what the feeling is yet, only happened today.

Glad he's sticking around till the end of the season, I want to have a beer with him before he goes :)

Did he end up doing his nude run after Perth failed to make the finals last year?

 Well we wouldn't have had to watch him in anycase, but that shoots his cred IMO. How can the players respect him if he threatens to do "A" if they can't do "B" and then he doesn't do "A" at all. They'd all be thinking "Screw this, why should we do what he says? Even he doesn't do what he says."
I think e needs to do a quick streak right now, and Perth's season will magically turn around.
You can tell him I said that Barto when you see him. ;)

Hate is such a strong word. I don't hate him at all, I just think the club can do better. Cant knock his passion at all, but if he was either a bit more educated or open to suggestion he could've achieved more.

Last flag in 77 - Last Grand Final in 78. Hardly the overachievers of the WAFL.

It's not just that: no finals since 1997. The club hasn't even been around the mark since the 70's.

That pretty well sums up his time as North coach as well.
North Adelaide F C : Champions of Aust 1972 : Premiers 1900, 02, 05, 20, 30, 31, 49, 52, 60, 71, 72, 87, 91

Sadly Perth made no progress during Jarman's tenure.
This job was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate his worth as a coach but he's failed the test and it's not a good entry on his CV.

He seemed more interested keeping his public profile up by writing a weekly column in the Sunday Times newspaper and dabbling in breakfast radio host than knuckling down and getting his team performing.

Not quite. They have won 6 flags sine the second World War, South have won one. They do have a very poor overall record though.

IMO that's unfair on Jarman. He took us to within 1 win of the top 4 last year, then this year we did not recruit anyone and lost 3 top players. I'd prefer he stay on and finish the job and from what i understand he does too -but the family are homesick so i can't blame him for that. He has blooded a whole heap of young kids which previous coaches were reluctant to do.

BTW - by the sounds of it Peel Thunder would be the South Adelaide of the WAFL :)
