C'mon big fella. You were telling me at Grand Central a few years back that Centrals were always your "second team" - all you had to do in winter was wear a white scarf (or keep waving the white flag).

Will Trevor last the season?

LMAO .. Reckon you've got me confused with someone else mate .. Have admired (and still do) what the Doggies have done, but 2nd team?? (That would be the Norwood Reserves)

He'll last the season mate, it's not the Norwood way .. To be fair to the bloke, whilst I've never been an admirer of his coaching ability, the problems run deeper than him.

Thank God we're playing you blokes at home this weekend, Pale Ale is my Anaesthetic of choice ;)

Will be interesting to see how Norwoods board respond to some of the critiscms re Trevor Hill, my guess is that the probably wont do anything at all until the end of the year and even then considering that any new coach cant recruit outside of the zone for the 2010 season they may find it difficult to find another candidate in the calibre of Alan Stewart that people are suggesting.

Still Nathan Bassett could always use the year much like Clay Sampson is at South as an Apprenticeship year with the difference being that Norwood may well be able to find him a decent mentor as Assistant Coach.

There have been crisis meetings
Expect more in the next 2 days in the press

Is there a cap on what you can pay a coach?
Since Norwood won't be recruitong next year perhaps there is margin to recruit a coach who can instill some discipline and develop a game plan.
[Is Peter Rohde getting sick of Port's inconsistency yet??]

Or perhaps they can afford to pay Hill out now?

Just out of interest, how many teams have gone on to play, or even
win a Grand Final, after changing coaches during an SANFL season ?

One I reckon, Port 1996 S Williams for Cahill. I don't think it is a common occurrence mate - sack/replace coach and win a flag.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Also that wasn't because of a coach/team performance issue. Rather it was a well planned transition plan that paid off.

I'm not sure if AH pays that much attention to the SANFL anymore Bayman, he thinks it's boring. ;)
