Is the thread title in binary?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

So you're allowed to wear soccer gear to a football game but wearing football gear to a football game is taboo?
WTF? :-??

Doesn't really make much sense.

It used to annoy me seeing teal at a Port Magpies game, but whatever. If you go to the MCG for a game, there's plenty of people wearing the colours of a team that it's playing on the day. At least they're there taking in a game of footy.

You have a Port Adelaide one and a Salisbury one. That makes 2, I'm fairly certain.

I see....one of the previous posts

Here you go if it helps:

Give them some leeway - <Collingwood supporters> cant afford to go to both matches let alone buy 2 different guernseys (that's why we wont have an away geurnsey)
(<Collingwood> people can take their balaklavas for the stops on the way home)

PS - dont dare call me a college poofter

You should know by now that the only stereotypes are of people from Elizabeth.

Or maybe it's just that they squeal about it a lot more?

What about South Adelaide, surely they must rate a mention?

I'm not sure too many people rate South Adelaide, except maybe those people born in the 1860's.

I don't have 10 but a few...

1 The hijacking of the name of the sport, it is Australian Rules Football, not AFL...
2 the 50 metre arc, totally unnecessary and actually removes some home ground advantage.
3 The perceived need for an MC and music before the game and at every quarter stoppage - let the crowd create its own atmosphere...
4 Clowns who say AFL footballers don't have club loyalty - when in fact the players have had no choice in who they have to play for...

Because it gives players a point of reference of exactly how far out from goal they are. Without it, players away at a ground they see once a year will often go for goal when they're too far out or pass off when they're actually within kicking distance. It used to happen regularly in the old days. Its one for Spell_Check. Home ground winning percentage either side of the advent of the 50 metre line... wonder if its significant...

Does it ever happen?

I'll fess up to doing it before, but only when my mob played a curtain raiser before an AFL match.

I shant ever forget the time I turrned up to an AFL match decked out in black and gold, to see the Bays play Sturt before a Port Power match. Pretty tasteless of the SANFL to schedule a Bays game before Port Power played Richmond  Despite that, I only got mistaken for a Richmond supporter twice, and actually had a good interaction with some of the Port Power swine.

When kids and women get to the game half time of the reserves, set up chairs and sit down near relatively close to the fence and then have morons rock up 5 minutes before the game and decide to stand straight in front of them even though half the oval is empty.
