Has anybody realised just how good Fuller is with identifying young talent?

He would be close to the best coach this club has had in this regard

His record speaks for itself

In fact I don't know why he hasn't been approached yet by an ALF side to work with the youngsters

Injury has certainly caused a problem this year

but so has the poor attitude of some players!

To Rons credit hes always promoted youth with enthusiasm , its been his lack of success with some mature age types (not being good enough recruiting them to the club ) or ( falling out with them ) . Then theres the ones that we have kept too long also . Falling out with John Mcarthy back in the middle of 01 may have cost us alot on Grand Final day that year . For a couple of years we tried to get the prolific Beams from Tasmania , but Ron couldnt do the deal ( maybe coz tight ass board ? ) . Ron kept Frewen , Nieman , Hall , Newit , Prescott , Pedlar & now Colville all passed their real used by dates , instead of facing the tough decision to cut them for the betterment of the club . Yes finding replacements isnt easy , but its critical if your going to stay at the top in this competition . When you dont excell in recruiting mature age recruits , its easy to promote youth , theres really NO other alternative ; just ask Andy Collins at West ! So yes hes good at giving the kids a go , but now we have too many at once & not all of them are going to set the world on fire eg. Gogoll ! Fuller is responsible for the performance & list !

Interesting to note a junior/seconds player from another SANFL Club has been approached to play VFL next year .
I hope WWT recruiters have been as busy and are chasing some mature age recruits !!

A little bird I see from time to time mentioned to me that the Eagles wouldnt have to ask twice for him to take over coaching at Oval Ave. next year & he seems to think he wouldnt be the only ex league coach who would jump at the chance ! A hint to who it is ; that he has something in common with our present coach , occupation wise & has had ultimate success also ! His take on the club is that a fresh voice & a handful of good solid bodied recruits is all thats missing , nothing else . So lads were not talking crap as some would have us believe . A premiership coach can spot a flawed setup better than anyone I would have thought ! Interesting .

While I still think any suggestion that Fuller is not good enough to coach the Iggles is fuller shite, it would appear that Holdy seems to think he is fuller information.
Is 2009 the year of the Tiger?

We would not like to see the mobile phone thrower become the coach of the Eagles, I believe he is in China taking out competitors of the Australians with old fashioned heavy phones at the moment. When in China and you hear the words ''it's for you" either duck and / or wear a hardhat.
The phone thrower is obsolete these days anyway, may as well recycle Jack as select him. As for the poor victim of the phone thrower I seen him in Melbourne recently playing lawn bowls. The incident appears to have affected his lawn bowling ability as well because from what I saw he was bowling very poorly and his team members were rather annoyed with him. Fortunately he could not hear their comments due to the ringing in his ears.

Very good once again Jackel , good to read your still in fine form ( unlike Eagles ) . Tiggerboss <edit by Mods> keep the abuse out of the gutter hey fellas? , the most interesting comment was for my money , him saying that some other ex league coaches would jump at the job ! At least we have options if big Ron pulls his pin ! He wouldnt be my choice , but you gotta respect the guys opinion . Interestingly , amongst us Eagles , Ron divides people one way or the other . To stay or go , Ive never met a fence sitter yet . Maybe the only fence dwellers at this stage would be our board , heh CD ? ! No way Rons got everyones genuine backing on our showing this season . Our bad has been pathetic at times .

better not play for someone else, Sick of Fuller doing this to good players, Yes he won a flag but how many has he lost. Time for the club to move on and give some one else a chance.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

I'm very closely associated with the loyal supporter who s williams viciously assaulted. I know he would seriously consider his association with the football club if williams was appointed, he would most probably disappear overseas.
