must say I had a very enjoyable time today, & Centurion was an excellent host, as was the lovely Mrs Centurion (who was ailing, much to the indifference of her partner  )

A very stirring speech by an ANZAC legend nearly had me flying out to Vietnam, ready to invade the beaches by myself.

I also ran into smac (not the gay one*), where it was acknowledged that we were in combat on 2 fronts today (he Ess, I Coll...)

I did query the choice of roast chicken for lunch, but the cheese board was superb...

managed to knuckle everyone to death inside the tent & still catch the game

as a coincidence, 2 blokes at our table were talking amateur footy, I asked them where they'd played?
Fitzroy was the answer.... :o

Just a thought Centurion, as it's Anzac day it would have been nice to offer it to a returned vet North supporter.

Not a good idea...I'm Vietnamese

Nice one Centurion......like it, like it

1 all for the day... And if I had to choose one to win it would have been the Dogs.

Good to catch up mate, good to meet Centurion as well.

The speaker was outstanding, speaking of his experiences since the Vietnam war instead of during and we had our own war veteran on our table who divulged a couple of his own experiences to us which was a great addition to the day.

Great to sit and chat with Rene Van Dommelle as well, top bloke.

At least as dusk encroached upon the emptying Adelaide Oval, there was a beacon to follow as I departed the ground!
