Speaking of developments, I was at the Bay today and saw for my own eyes the new Snouts Bar! No sign of any decent loos though.
Had a giggle as there's "Cornes for Ego" banners plastered on the front of the building.
Took photos of the bar and the Ego banners if anyone doesn't believe me.

Had a couple of brews in the pub today and as I said to a mate I was very impressed with it all. Top rate. Just don't like that they don't sell pale ale but ah well, I see it as a good sign that it was my biggest issue with the place.

Just have to redo the changerooms and something on the outer wing.

Agree mighty eagles, the outer wing should have some step-up concrete terracing and i know many SAFC club members would love a small grandstand on western wing to replace the eye-sore that is that stratco carport/shelter. Apart from that the place is looking good.

Noarlunga Oval should be entirely domed up so we don't have to endure the shocking windy conditions every time we're there...

Worst positioning of a ground EVER, and worst positioning of a light tower/scoreboard EVER.

yep, you could blow a dog off a chain there yesterday TB. Horrible conditions.
Like it or not- its ours exclusively for the next 97 years at $1 per year. We are not beholding to any council and we didnt have to smash any ol' grannies croquet mallets to get it either. Dont worry about the light towers , they will be replaced by state of the art ones for night footy.

the new facilities are good, they just need to do something with the outer, too much of a country ground feel to it.

They've done very well with the oval. Was a beautiful day yesterday and was great watching from the hill with plenty of other Eagles supporters in the same spot. Glenelg Oval and Noarlunga Oval have improved significantly recently - hopefully the money coming in to the clubs now means better facilities for the other clubs as well. Not that I really care - as long as the pie is warm, the beer cold and I can see the footy I'm happy standing on the terrace. However, it is these improvements to facilities which will bring more people to the footy.

Noarlunga Oval is definitely not the worst oval going around at the moment.

I thought the oval etc were great yesterday .A very good BBQ and seats in the sun to watch the footy what more does one need.

Yep, neither end (or wing) had an advantage yesterday - there wasn't any wind to speak of. When the weather isn't good, it's magnified at that ground, but when it's fine, it is lovely.
