5-3 would do us nicely, since the Clowns need 6-2 or better.

Name the undecided club, if you can, in order that we might assist in the decision...

Glenelg yes
Sturt yes
WWT yes

Norwood no (But Wavering)
North No (No means No)

South (No Comment)
West (Desperate for Cash)
Centrals (Listening)

Guess which two caved and who is undecided
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Your statement, which I agree with whole heartedly, can be applied to all levels of Australian society. Sadly 95% of us have evolved into a country of apathetic dim wits. The "she'll be right" attitude is alive and well.
Having said that, with the amount of crap that is flying around re this issue I think it wise to wait until all the facts are out in the public domain. Who knows, when you have the facts , you might change your mind

That attitude has been around for a long time. That attitude of thinking those in power have everyone's best interests at heart and let them do what ever they way. It's how we end up with the politicians we have, no one ever really researches what they're really up to and where it could lead.

I'm pretty disappointed that Sturt haven't had a members info night, it's a passionate issue for many.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Gentlemen, Norwood would be the only genuine "No" with the other 7 clubs' Boards all closet Candy lovers that put on the SANFL hat for us at our games, then go home or to Footy Pk and get off the leash as rabid GAYFL slime.
It's done.
We need to start to plan the guerrilla warfare because all 8 teams members are in it together now.
We say a ban when playing the 2 Gayfl's is a must if your onboard against the death of integrity over money!

I won't be going to any SANFL games if my club vote yes, that will be the death of the league for me.

Maybe enough people will stop going that it will become a massive failure and the clubs will have no option but to try and have the crows removed

Won't happen I know but sometimes you just have to say enough is enough.

If they let the crows in now where will it stop, when they ask for afl interpretations of the rules, ask for 22 players, ask for a sub rule, ask to make each team have x amount of players under the age of 23 so they are more competitive etc etc

I'm failing to understand why each state can't have it's own state league with being 'owned' by the rebranded vfl

WHUFC hey don't spit the dummy my friend we all should support our clubs next year by being members however when we have to play the VaFL Crow side boycoTt them do not attend this game and then the message might get through to the SANFL of NO AFL IN THE SANFL.

Sorry guys I've had enough, the SANFL clubs are that scared of the afl clubs that if its only 2 games a year against the AFL clubs they will take the hit rather than upset the big boys and ask them to leave

The club will only learn imho if people walk away from the comp, completely

Personally I wanted the SANFL to try and become an alternative the AFL obviously that's not the path out directors see the league going down, I'm lost!!!

Yeah, im still calling everyones bluff on this. People can huff and puff all they like but when push comes to shove, I don't think we'll see mass membership walk outs on the SANFL clubs. Just my opinion.

You might be right but I am definatly not bluffing, didnt go last week, not going today I chose to work and have found I actually enjoy doing things to our new house on a Saturday.

Also history in the VFL and WAFL have shown people do walk away

My attention will focus to watching Elizabeth Downs Soccer Club on a Sunday arvo

Well i can give you a guarantee that im a walk out. Infact im starting from this week as for me the situation feels hopeless and i cant stay motivated about this year when i know theire will be no sanfl from next year onwards. I have better things to do than go and watch norwood play in a compromised competition. It saddens me that even a few posters on this site and who have been pisting on facebook seem to have switched to the yes camp. These people just do not get it. There is no point in having cash if the comp you are playing in is compromised. They will be soldiers without having a war to fight. The root of this problem is in the way the national competition was formed and how south australua came to be part of it. We were told back then that this was progress but some 20 years later the national comp is still gwared towards the interest of victotia. SA's most famous club will soon be gone forever in terms if its traditional name , colours and guernsey. This is not progress and this is not whats best for south australian football.

I am a walkout too. Will no longer be a member and will no longer buy a full season ticket (which I currently do, even though I know I will not be able to attend enough away games to make it worthwhile). The only thing that has sustained me since 1986 is the thought/hope/fantasy that one day the captain of my club would hold the cup aloft after the grand final. From next year If that ever happens it will be meaningless because the competition will be a competition in name only.

You might think that I and others like me are bluffing, but trust me I could not be more resolute about this. I know other long term SANFL club members and supporters who feel the same and who will act as I will. I have advised my club president of the above in an email that did not receive a response.

As others have mentioned there are plenty of other things I could be doing on the weekend that are infinitely preferable to watching what used to be my team run around in a meaningless name only competition.

x 2...

didn't go yesterday, will still see the year out but pretty sure 2014 is a NO, for me.
The death of the SANFL as we know it - whilst PAFC & AFC have their Reserves Teams in the competition, it ceases to be a genuine alternative to the AFL.

I will always go to watch the Grand Final (as I always have regardless of which teams are in it) but as far as an every week supporter - that will cease.
Sad Days indeed :(

I will always go and follow Norwood like I have for close to 40 years but cant vouch for my behaviour when we play the Cows. Hopefully we can make the Cows fans very uneasy about travelling to the Parade

Yep that's another reason why I wouldn't attend, if I ever heard a ravens fan yell out to me "who cares u wouldn't beat our real team' I would probably get a holiday from the wife and kid in the luxurious grand junction resort

The sad thing is that i thought the sanfl was building some momentum despite the financial problems. 35000 at last years gf shows their is still interest in it. No offence to 2 west but they dont hav e a big fan base. Imagine if it was norwood v sturt or norwood v glenelg. Could it have been 45 000? The last two years i s the most i have enjoyed sanfl ( not surprising i guess given my teams success) since the advent of the crows. Now this is like 1990 all over again

Yep thats what disappoints me the most is that i truly believe their is a market out there for the SANFL to be the alternative to the AFL.

Dont get me wrong i dont think the SANFL could compete with the AFL but i have no doubt the SANFL could remain viable and steady with attendences between 2-4k depending on games, times and weather.

imho the SANFL still has horrific time clashes with games such as Centrals v Port while the Power is playing etc etc. Some smarter scheduling could really help some of these battling clubs. Entry prices are ridicoulous.

im not sure about other clubs but in the last 5years Centrals imho have become very lazy in trying to accomodate for spectators, the marketing side at the club has really dropped its bundle since Huntley and Tim Clements have left.

The SANFL could do worse than look at how Triple J and Fresh FM have found their place in the market and their demographic when competiting against the millionair business that are Nova, SAFM etc etc.
