Oh, this reminds me:

At half time of the Reserves, the Under 13 knock out final was played between South and Eagles. Immediately after the game, the announcer says along the lines of "And it looks like congratulations to South Adelaide, winners of the Under 13 final!"

A couple of minutes later: "Actually, the scores have been checked, and the winner by one point is the Eagles!"

What a way to disappoint those youngsters!

My friends and I were horrified when this announcement was made. The SANFL owe the South people a HUGE apology for this stuff up-those lads were a credit to their club the way they reacted to this and the way they held their heads high as they left the ground.

Noticed the winning team was not announced for quite some time after the finish of the match at half time of the league game-guess they thought of checkng the scores first!

I think it is astounding for someone to announce it straight away, without knowing what the score actually was. There should have been a scoreboard somewhere, like the mini league used to have.

It was just lying on a table in the media room believe it or not, its almost like someone planted it there on purpose to leak it out.
I did the right thing, took a photo of it when noone was looking and fled the scene.

I imagine at that time of day it would be the under 19's, which was Sturt V Glenelg.

Hmmm, some would say that it refers to the U19's sides. I on the other hand prefer to consider it part of this running sheet sham, it is further proof that the running sheet doesn't really exist. If it did, I'd take it to the Himalayas and jam it up the Yeti's arse! Now there would be a photo, two enigmas in the one shot.

Good thing it was before daylight saving started then. I'm amazed they'd expect an under 19 to be out of bed that early!
