At that point will you cease your squealing about not receiving the AFL dividend to prop up your football department?

Do you mean the dividend we get from the AFL via the SANFL to run the AFLs development program's like the TAC and WAFL clubs or the dividend we got from the SANFL which all SANFL clubs have got to fund positions at the club since the 1970s? That dividend comes from money from footy park games which your club was happy to receive when Sturt and Norwood would draw the same crowd as a port v gold coast game! When Bucky was planning your move into the AFL in the mid 90s he did it from a position which was part funded by the SANFL!

Don't confuse him ambays!! He thinks it's the same thing.

No the dividend the SANFL has syphoned off from both the AFL clubs since 1991. And that's over and above the payback of the $4M license fees.

And why shouldn't the SANFL have put some funds into Port's AFL move when the SANFL controlled the License?

Own. Not just control, they own it.

And they were irresponsible in not watching what the useless board was doing, costing themselves a packet.

But that doesn't absolve PAFC, just shares the blame.

you basically mean the money the SANFL make from playing games at footy park like it did when it used to share the money it used to make in the 70s & 80s? Why should the SANFL stop distributing money to all its clubs (it's still distributing money to the PAFC and to a lesser extent AFC) just as it used to especially when one of it's pre-AFL revenue stream has been taken away from it (made unviable) SANFL games at footy park.
Yes the I agree with bucky's position should have funded like the other then SANFL clubs.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Its a fair point you make JK.

Is this the lifeblood that you are referring to been Real:
2007 $325,000
2008 $334,750
2009 $344,790
2010 $355,135
2011 $365,790

Yet again I'll repeat sanfl has crippled its own finances to give port $14.7mill in the last 5 years. I think It's fair to say they have contibuted above and beyond what was expected.

I've never doubted the evidence you provide, its there for all to see. There is no link for us to provide to the contrary, no doubt about it, yes, we are a drain, you ever seen me say other wise?

Have you ever seen me say any of what you offer is untrue? No.

I just dont see the point of your endless onslaught. Can you give us an indication as to if and when it might end and if so what might bring this on?

Good to see you jump off the fence finally mr boon and stake your claim. Ill confess it was you constantly debating against me all those years that may have clouded my views.

That plus.

UK FAN : I thought you stated you agreed with me Mr Boon. You wouldnt be sitting back on the fence just taking pot shots at anyone would you ???

BOONEY : Agree with you? Was I that drunk that early in the day?

But ofcourse its all good now that you agree PAFC are a drain on our great league/clubs.

If only Been Real/Gravel could wake up. I reckon this entire debate might finally die.

You could of but I believe you chose to be one of the best port supporters of all time and deny it all instead if memory serves.

Now to end this debate all we need do is convince beenreal he is clueless. Best of luck with that one btw.

Nup, dont deny it at all. Just dont see what your point is.

I cant post any stats to dispute yours, you cant give me any reason why you go on and on about it. So who wins?

Simple here's 2 reasons
1. Your not the only port fan on this website
2. Some of the other port fans aren't as brilliant as you (I'm sure you already knew that) and still blame our league/clubs for ports predicament

Strange for someone who knows my stance and agrees with me. Im a bit confused why you constantly invite yourself into such a debate.Maybe if you helped instead of hindered with such topics these debates would be over like you want it to be.

Just a thought ;)

I'll hand it to you UK, you're the master of deflection. The topic is about AFL Reserves and you manage to turn it into another Port Adelaide bash.

You're very good at pointing out how much the PAFC has cost the League but despite repeated requests refuse to revisit 1997-2006.

Afraid of the facts perhaps?

Back onto the topic

I am interested from a Port Magpies supporters perspective which of the following structures is preferred? I cant think of any other possibilities.

1) Current
- Power has league team only, surplus players spread over various clubs
- Magpies have teams in SANFL league reserves U18's etc

2) Magpies League side become Power reserves team in SANFL league
- ie surplus AFL players all play for Port team in SANFL league topped up with extras from somewhere?
- Power keeps all players together playing at highest level possible
- Side does not have winning league prem as #1 goal, more development in nature
- Magpies reserves, U18, zone etc all dissapear

3) Magpies Reserves side is the Power reseves team in SANFL reserves comp
- Magpies still have SANFL league side (with no AFL players)
- Magpies reserves a mix of SANFL surplus and Power surplus players
- Power gets all its players together, Magpies still in league comp as a league side
- Power players only playing SANFL reserves level
- Magpies senior list would drop from SANFL avg 55 to about 45
- Retains current no of PAFC teams at 4 (Power, Magpies league, reserves & U18)

4) Power has own AFL reseves team in AFL resverves comp / VFL
- Magpies seperate SANFL league, reserves, U18 etc under current zone
- Means PAFC now has 5 teams to run rather than 4 (can they afford this/)

PAFC couldn't fund 1 more team let alone four or five in total under your models Phil!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Been Real I have asked you 100 times in the last 6 years to provide these figures yourself. As you are the only one(Port fans inclued) who has any clue what you are talking about mate.

So please feel free to forward everything you know.

Reasons as to why you constantly refuse to provide the figures we have asked:
a) for some reason you think everyone else should have to provide proof to your claims for you
b) you have no proof

Im sticking with option B at this stage.

When You have proof get back to me. Until then you are safooty version of Rucci. Let us know how you get on Schultzy ??? ;) ;)
