only 3 quality players ... which ones?

Out: Ben Fisher (retired), Ryan Willits (Victoria), Kaiden Brand (Hawthorn), Scott Blesing (TBC), Brad Fisher (Victoria), Fort Caruso (Victoria), Nat Caruso (Victoria), Marc Borholm (Eagles), Kurt Tippett (TBC)

West were lucky this year Centrals and Eagles had an off year, they were unworthy Grand Finalists and will not make top 3 this year and probably not the 5.

Would a better punishment have been to make them run at a smaller salary cap for the next x amount of years.

a better punishment would have been to make them play with no more than 6 defenders ...

Would the job Henry Slatterys been offered at the Power be considered a dodgy 3rd party deal involving the Power and Magpies if he plays for PAFC in the SANFL?

the way I see it, any club can recruit anyone, as long as it fits in under the salary cap. but there's nothing stopping other SANFL clubs offering him more.

No it wouldn't be outside of the general salary cap rules.

But yes it would be outside of the agreement they have signed with the SANFL and the 8 other clubs

I wonder whether West will get the $25,000 transfer fee for Slattery?

If that was the way West played every week no one would bag them for negative footy, most weeks it is bloody aweful to watch, that day they were awesome, not bitter at all!

West played 2 quarters of attacking football and controlled and won the game in the Prelim and were better overall on the day so no complaints from me. HOWEVER - you would have thought that Collins might have tried to attack Norwood in the GF given that it worked as we all know in the Prelim but no he reverted to the same crap game plan that lost him the 2nd semi and who was surprised it didn't work - no one!

It is no surprise that the WAFC have slashed his ridiculous salary given the way he gave his own team no chance to win the flag. Why bother to play in a GF against an opponent such as Norwood if you have no real intent to attack to try and gain the upper hand and win?
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
