Son, "Why does Port have half its regular side missing?"

Dad, "Because the South Australians treat this competition with utter contempt & shouldn't have bothered entering it in the first place, in fact, you probably won't see them in it next year."

West at least lost to a team from a football state not the bottom club from Queensland. Doesn't how much "spin" you put on it Port disgraced both it's own club and the SANFL.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

For so many people to think this competition is a joke and still get to 18 pages of comments on it is interesting.

I think Wests decision to send the ressies to WA was poor and I think Ports treatment of Morningside also got the result it deserved.

perhaps the foxtel cup should be done in the pre-season and then the other clubs can be involved in a round robin pre-season tourney

You keep saying this, but still don't understand that the comp is for Foxtel to be able to show more football during the season.

mighty_tiger_79 wrote:perhaps the sanfl should ask the clubs to vote on the following proposal
the top 3 clubs of the season are automatically entered into the foxtel cup, regardless of their own interests?
I'd want to see that rejected unanimously.

Three questions:
1. What percentage of SANFL followers care about matches between non-SANFL teams other than AFL?
2. What percentage of those have Foxtel?
3. Who would benefit apart from Foxtel from that authoritarianism?

Apologies if I'm mistaken, but didn't the Foxtel Cup match start at 11am, whilst the Port v Carlton AFL match started at 7pm yesterday ... WTF???

What was in between? ... putting the tarps up?

No most of them were up but clearly someone from the SANFL got confused in the pre-game setting up of AAMI and put out the B&W training cones early for the Power warmup!

I keep hearing Salopek played well.

One Club must be very happy, $5K well spent.

Cause Fox Footy had to cover Geelong/GWS then Crows/Freo - with the Sat twilight game now in play the gap is now closed to fit it in at a reasonable time.
