How does that look for you? What benefits do you think are required? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

I think a guarenteed 200k/year for each club would appease most if not all clubs seasonally adjusted to CPI increases for 15 years.
Oh, you can't afford that, toodle off to the ammo's then.
No other reason is required. It's not up to the SANFL clubs to find a compromise, you want to join their league.

I was wondering do you conceed the point that the SANFL clubs can say no like a 8yr old "just because"?

200K a year? Why don't we just keep the AFL licenses?

Does the crows license return 1.6m a year to the SANFL does it? They only want to buy it for 1m a year over 15 years.
Regardless, point is Pi55 off to the ammo's

Because you say so?

Then the Crows' desire to field a reserve grade team in the league ranks of a sovereign football competition is simply altruism?

Tassie it is a public forum and everyone is welcome however where have these new posters been for the last 10 years still none of these pro AFL reserves posters and Crow officials can tell us how this will benefit the SANFL and my club or your club that is the million dollar question i have seen the crowd stats in the WAFL and the VFL not very good do they all want the SANFL to head down the same path just to satisfy the Crows ????? i and many other posters are not prepared to take this risk.

My suggestion is maybe try this concept with them playing in our reserve comp for one year maybe two and if their is a significant crowd increase of 4,000 as predicted by Chapman tthe SANFL my consider them joining the League.

"an AFL funded reserves competition involving all the AFL clubs would be a be a huge threat to the standing of the SANFL competition. "

Dave

What threat no one gives a rats toss bag about watchin AFL reserves 99% of AFL footy followers are only interested in watching the MAIN AFL GAME.

I suggest you check the crowd attenandces for the home and away and Grand Finals of the VFL the PSEUDO AFL reserves comp over the last 10 odd years not very flattering yes thats right the home of football in Melbourne with a population FOUR times that of Adelaide the STATS SAY IT ALL.

Port want to keep the reserves, and junior grades going, which is god for the community development they look after

I suggest if the crows want to play in the SANFL how bout they then go about setting up a club juniors/reserves etc..........

then both teams have the same model

Apachebulldog wrote:Hey David you have not go a clue my friend or are you just a stooge from the Crows ????

I suggest you read all the 163 pages of comments on this forum and some of my posts regarding crowd numbers in other state leagues.

I have sent numerous e mails to 5AA sports raising questions but these people have ignored me they have TUNNEL VISION it is called AFL/CROWS

Below my latest e mail this morning to the Crow show

As usual no comment none of these sports presenters have the coljones to discuss issues raised it seems they are all for the reserves what a gutless mob towing the Crow line.

Hey guys you sure are sure sprouting some crap this morning

I have been following the SANFL for over 45 years and like all fans do not want to see it destroyed

Why should the SANFL clubs conform to the whim of the Crows ??????

How does this strengthen the competition when you take away AFL players from current teams ??? this idiotic concept weakens every club so the status quo must remain

You are all kidding yourselves if you think SANFL fans will go and watch AFL reserves no one is interested its all about the main AFL game these days

AFL clubs have reserves in the VFL guess what average crowds 2,000 per game Grand Final crowds less than 15,000

Apart from Geelong have a look at the Bulldogs Saints etc etc etc no benefit to players being in the VFL

Moves are afoot by club members to call meetings to have a say to ensure a NO vote is achieved.

This only benefits the CROWS and no other Club

Why is every one hell bent in destroying the SANFL

Most of the media do not give a stuff about the SANFL you all have tunnel vision and that is AFL the destroyer of all state leagues

Its just a pig in a poke !!!

SO once again

NO AFL IN THE SANFL

Agreed, I think it will be great to see some facts and get some answers. I look forward to David responding to my previous post (trying again). It's a positive move that someone after 18 months is about to bother to provide answers to significant stakeholders in the sanfl (the supporters).

If this is an accurate figure it just goes to show how desperate some clubs are for money because there is NO WAY the clubs are letting Adelaide in because they "think it will make the competition better".

It's also laughable to think Adelaide truly believe playing a team in the amatuer competition is of more benefit than the current set up.

Excellent work by Koch and Thomas to sit back and watch this shit fall to pieces.

Yeah, because "why not" argument was just so compelling. "Because the $ANFL says so."

pseudo of morningside and uk fan maybe an update of your local club status might alert us to your current club and geography

didn't know that posting on this site was a prerequisite for having an opinion on sanfl
and that 45 years of tangible support for ones club isn't sufficient for your liking

maybe I should be grateful that my posts are still being referred to 2 pages later due to your inciteful responses

as for being a stooge I won't be reading your posts this afternoon as I will be watching the team for all south australians
live and continue to watch the roosters week in week out regardless of who in the comp

if your lucky I might have posted 10 times by end of weekend and clearly haven't gone away

The standing of a competition consists of more than just crowd attendances. If they create a proper standalone AFL reserves competition, you'll probably find an extra 50+ SANFL players removed from the SANFL. This is what will effect the standing. Try to think beyond your nose.

but that's a good thing if there are 50+ players taken out, it then forces clubs to develop their juniors more
