I still think Trev Hill should get alot of applause for setting up the foundation to Norwoods flag IMHO.

I couldnt believe Norwoods support, they must have had at least 85 - 90% spectators at the game.
SANFL now has to understand that the AFL grand final is the full stop on the football season, & move the SA Grand Final 2 weeks back to the AFL preliminary final weekend.

Does any one think if this is the case it will have a negative effect on the crowd we'd get to a SANFL Grand Final?
Really good crowd on Sunday, against the flow of what the rest of the season crowds were like and the somewhat negative publicity towards the Grand Final before hand.
PS. Wouldn't need to start the season 2 weeks earlier if they didn't have so many byes! Go back to three weekends off per club instead of the 5 we had this year!
Absolutely it would. The number of amatuer and country GF's, presentation nights, celebrations, etc that are on the weekend before the AFL GF would have a reasonable impact. In today's environment not too many are going to put their SANFL club before their local club, no matter how much we wish it. Having it when we do gives these people a chance to go along, so it's a win-win for footy all round, but perhaps not for how the AFL want it to be.
