Sleeping Giant you are spot on Trigg will not keep his word.
If the Crows got a 7 - 1 vote he would say well we have the support of the vast majority and have a smile as big as a baboon's arse. We conned them all ha ha ha ha.

Centurion said something last night and we should all be VERY VERY wary ....
Ignore EVERYTHING anyone says apart from what comes from YOUR club.
The Media does not speak for YOUR club.
The Crows do not speak for YOUR club.
The SANFL does not speak for your club.

These pricks are trying to con you ! Sadly it appears to be working. If the other clubs take the line .... lets leave it to Norwood and Centrals to stop the Crows we can vote yes and look good to the Crows in case they succeed.

Show some sense and some balls and vote xxxxing NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have faith in South yet!

BTW, the crows should play A1 next year and prove they can get a supporter base to their games. This will be the ultimate test. If they can draw 3K to the A1 games as an average then they have a case (Plus its free entry isnt it to the A1 games?)

If not, then the SANFL dodges a bullet and one hell of a bluff from the crows. By letting the A1 league have them its a perfect test case of financial modelling.
Hell, we made CDFC and WFC do an apprentice in the SANFL before promoting them years back.

I've made these comments to WAFC officials today - Did they hear them or listen to them - who knows? Only fools rush in...

Very bleak day @ the Bay... very few signatures on wet paper :(

Oh well, @ least we have a Special General Meeting @ Woodville on Thursday Night.
Hopefully, we will get some answers to some pertinent questions about the issue, then.

Trigg was shocking today - well done Centurian, as always :D

Love how Trigg said the Crows coming in as the 10th team and the 10 team competition with everyone playing each other twice brings integrity to the competition. So that is how they try and answer the "integrity" question.

Well, the Crows won't be playing home and away, just away, so how is that fair and giving the competition integrity?

There will also be split rounds (x2) so how is that different to the bye?

The simple answer is it is impossible for a Reserves competition to come in to a league competition and for the competition to have integrity.

Centurion was spot on with his comments. Thanks also to LEH for carrying around the petition and sign in the freezing cold, windy and wet conditions at the bay today.

As mentioned in the scores thread, got to meet the legendary Centurion this afternoon and sign the petition (I remained incognito though)... was pretty disappointed for him that the boundary umpire wouldn't sign the petition ... ;).

My little boy learnt some new words today too... :D

David if you have a minute, check the previous 159 pages.

Also, bit late for research, isn't it?

I would be interested to hear how much you/the Crows value a fair and even competition?

I would be interested to know if it can be fair and even with AFL Reserves teams playing to a completely different set of off-field rules and having different priorities on-field to the SANFL clubs?

I understand the SANFL clubs run game development in this State, but also run a league competition. Should the whole of the SANFL just be about game development from a Crows point of view? All roads lead to the AFL in other words.

I think we can have the best of both worlds (pardon the pun), but it would take cooperation by all clubs in SA, some time, and some strength from the leaders in SA football.

Wouldn't happen except in Twiggs nightmare. Centurion is a very smart man (or woman) and while I disagree with his stance, he would certainly have the upper hand in being able to say it like it is. Twigg has to keep to the party line and present suppositions and "statistics" which make up the core of a purely mercenary business model.

Interesting to read adelaidefc's (David Burtenshaw) SAFooty status as "mini league". Perhaps that's their fallback position if the SANFL League or Amateurs model doesn't work out?

Postby best for comp » Sat Aug 03, 2013 9:31 pm

Please all parties step back from degrading our sanfl comp and vote yes

Clubs ask whether you will still be the 2nd best comp in the land if you say no
Sanfl supporters ask if you really want 20 or 40 players out our comp
Recruiters ask whether u think can recruit interstate players to a weaker comp and do think SA players who don't make it in afl will return home club
CEOs ask how your going to improve finances
As a local and crows supporter I will go my local club game weekly and look forward to the Young crows devt in their club way and I look forward my clubs locals pitting themselves against quality opponents week in week out

how does a regular club match day attendee change his mind in not supporting his or her club .

in a worst case scenario how does a weekly aggregate an extra 1000 0r 2000 of 10000 to 11000 adversely affect comp

Gee kids between 6 and 12 might like taking their afl dad or mum for a real kick and catch

re todays radio interviews the anti crows rep was all emotion and everything was maybe could be or dont know
Steven Trigg you are insulting your reserves players and supporter base by even contemplating amateurs and your request for unaminous result is just plain daft as everyone can live with a 6 to 2 vote in a democracy

ps didn't see the petitioners in stands at prospect last week or the outer at Elizabeth today. Trust they are not fair weather supporters

ps afl player Killed us today with his 4 goals but Callinan used to do that before being listed Ouch

ps 2 for all u people who want to snd them packing and reduce our stndard just think of some of the players that wouldn't have come to SA if we weren't the 2nd best comp

from North alone Allen Allerway Bennett Ryzwyk D Stewart Gordon
Dogs Callinan Gowans x 2 Goodrem O'Sullivan and many other multi premiership players
Bloods Tuck J Tippett and may others
South plenty with a few good ones from memory Cross and Little Are Vic's
Norwood Cachia and others but gone quiet given their penalties for salary cap integrity or lack of
Other clubs probably many but don't spring to mind at present
best for comp

What a load of crap.
Without the AFL reserves sides we will still be the second best comp in the land.
Have a look at the VFL and WAFL crowds to see how it has destroyed their comp
Off to the ammos, we dont want you
