A poor turnout would really hurt the NO vote.

Will be interesting to see how many come to the South one on Tuesday. I've always seen our supporter group as a little apathetic at times (worn out by years of failure perhaps ;) )

I will be there.... :D

Chairman/President – Kurt Slaven
Chief Executive Officer – Uby Faddoul

Still wait and see, they would still be digesting the proposal put forward this week. I hope some see sense and stand up and be counted. If I was on the Board and I didn't believe what the club was doing was right, I wouldn't want my name associated with this move.

It is a shame, you can't fault the administration of the club for what they've been able to put in place, especially over the last decade. The membership is growing and I felt the Eagles were gaining momentum off the field during the Godden era.

The members need to be consulted before the vote. This would be a fatal mistake by the club if this is not the case.

We should know today if there will be a members information night on this or not.

I think there is more chance of me buying a Power membership than the club changing its mind on a YES vote.

The eagles voting 'yes' to the proposal was made weeks ago. I am completely disgusted with the club for going down this path, particularly as we appear to be doing well off the field. This will damage our already small membership base. Even if this is the best decision for the club financially it makes no sense if it causes supporters to abandon on match days.

Has Trigg painted the Crows into a corner with his unanimous stand ? Have the Crows officially said they want an 8 - 0 vote or they go to Ammos ?

Now that Port Adelaide have pulled out of fielding a Power reserves side how come they don't get a vote ? Port Adelaide are a participating member of the SANFL.

They traded their vote for their precious "One Club" proposal........

I would think that most boards think that the stay away threat is quite empty and people will still turn up next season after the dust has settled

maybe the only way to prove teh seriousness is to have a round where people dont go to the games just to see

a) how many people are serious
b) what teh clubs response wuold be

Unless the club gets more money from sponsors than they do from the members and supporters. And the sponsors want to see their billboards on Channel 7.

Maybe members and supporters are irrelevant to the clubs these days....

$40k is a slap in the face. The WAFL clubs were given $100k a year and that was only for the host club arrangement, not this debacle of chucking another club in.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

bring back the black plastic  next prospect game in front of the taj. attach eric to the oval side. we still get to drink, welcome anyone that wants to join and support our view, message gets across. might need it to be bigger than the last one though, i dare say there will be many more people willing to join this protest, after all, its more important than just north playing shit ;)

That would be very hard to co-ordinate though.

The only way I think that they will listen to us is if we call Special General Meetings and threaten to vote them out if they don't vote no.

where's the million dollars with the crows in the league going to come from?
if each club is getting the reported $40k a year (how's that figure going to save clubs like Sturt & West) from the fruit tingles, who's giving channel 7 the $1 million?

when channel 9 sponsored the amateurs, i knew something was up.
i reckon reason the crows don't want to play in the SANFL reserves is they know it'd be a bye round.
Nobody will watch, nobody will televise game and they won't get any branding across for their sponsors.

need to call their bluff, let them go to the ammos where you'll be playing amateurs against professional full time players.
see how good your players development goes there with that skills gap.

Bassett's idea from a while back rejected by Trigg. As per the first comment made by a reader, Trigg fears that club's wont take the games seriously and winning wont be a priority. This is the same fear most of us on here have of the "Ravens" in the league comp, especially as the season winds down and injuries mount.

Credit to Bassett for not rolling over like most ex-crows.

If the Crows join the SAAFL will these games count towards their premiership/ladder?

The $40k will cover 3 months of interest on Sturt's current debt, how that will help them is beyond me, especially if members walk...
