Though their to need a fair bit in start up costs, their going to need to pay a few transfer fees to replace the players they lose

Should be offset by the transfer fees recieved for the AFL players transfering to the new team.....

The latest figure is $40k per club per year.

They appear to be changing their position on a regular basis however.

Would the crows pay a transfer to get there own players under this proposal? Has this been decided by this proposal?

Would they have to pay a transfer for an original Sturt player moving to the Crows reserves?

The Bays had to pay a transfer fee for McKernan didn't they? So you would think the Crows would have to also.

At least they are open to 1 on 1 talks as well as a members night.

My mail is Bohdan is still YES with 2 other Board members howevewr 3 others are NO. So there is still hope North could, if the YES men are persuaded, end up being a NO vote at the SANFL table.

The members info night needs heaps to turn up and voice their opinions and not be bullied, bluffed and bullshitted by the Board and CEO.

I'll be there, no matter when they hold it. And I'll be wanting to hear which way they plan on voting and why.

Centurion, can we borrow Eric if the info meeting actually goes ahead please? I'll buy you another beer if we can ;)

Meanwhile, I'll wait and see if it actually happens. The question has been asked on the virtual runner and was ridiculed so I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen...

Wish Port still had a vote. You've got to wonder if there's been a conniving secret plan that started before they removed Ports vote and Port (and the rest of us) fell for it?

Unfortunately it would appear there is nothing but $ in the eyes of the current administration. A real let down to the club and the competition IMO.

Just for future reference, here are the people in charge:

Board of Directors – David Lang, Colin Davidson, Rex Sellers, Bob Cross, Christine Williams and Steven Moore
Chairman/President – Kurt Slaven
Chief Executive Officer – Uby Faddoul

Still wait and see, they would still be digesting the proposal put forward this week. I hope some see sense and stand up and be counted. If I was on the Board and I didn't believe what the club was doing was right, I wouldn't want my name associated with this move.

It is a shame, you can't fault the administration of the club for what they've been able to put in place, especially over the last decade. The membership is growing and I felt the Eagles were gaining momentum off the field during the Godden era.

The members need to be consulted before the vote. This would be a fatal mistake by the club if this is not the case.

Slaven is selling out eagles members for $40k a year. Disgrace.

That's half an individuals wage.

Will be a commissioner within 12 months. SGM eagles members

Count me in. Would not miss it. As mentioned else where the cows are not set in concrete. They are open to change. What I dont get is that they are now saying they could move to the Ammo's. What ? SANFL Reserves would have to be a better fit. I have only heard ONE !!! arguement on why the Reserves dont fit. That they would get smashed every week. Well what would happen in the Ammos.

And if that is a real concern, how about a wait and see approach. If the cows reserves dominate in the SANFL Reserves Comp , If, then cap their bench to 2 and cap their rotations, after all, we are talking professional full time footballers here. If they cant run out a game of Reserves footy they shouldn't be on a list.

To my way of thinking Norwood Football Club are the only ones with their head screwed on. To date. Bring on the information night.

Would there be anything stopping other club supporters turning up at these members information nights?

A poor turnout would really hurt the NO vote.

Will be interesting to see how many come to the South one on Tuesday. I've always seen our supporter group as a little apathetic at times (worn out by years of failure perhaps ;) )
