West were disappointing today, as they were two weeks ago, but at least u made it, also clearly the second best team this year.

Amazed at how many Dogs fans are whining, geez get over it... ending the Dogs dominance is what the league needed.

Anyway, not all GFs are show pieces, but if you win, its sweet regardless.

"amazed at how many dogs fans are whining"....should be easy to quote a few examples then???

I'm still waiting as well...

Congrats Norwood best team all year... (b@st@rds)...

A lot of my mates are Legs fans and they're certainly letting me know about how good they are... Good on them too, winners are grinners...

Plenty there... read the thread...

I've read it mate and I reckon you're talking carp...

There were a couple of Doggies posters mention the atmosphere, crowd and game play... But they weren't the only ones ...

Let's see the "plenty"...

Ive now seen Nowrood beat West in a Grand Final and have seen Booney hit a six at cricket, all in one lifetime

Its quite remarkable that Norwood had only ever beaten West in a one grand final in 1922
Norwood with this GF win lead West 11-10 in all finals games between the clubs

I don't find it remarkable Mal given that West have only played in 17 GFs and have now lost 9. That means that Norwood have been Westies conqueror in two of the nine. Given that they lost to Port 5 times between 1954 and 1962, to North in 1991 and Central in 2003, that means that they have only lost to four clubs in Grand Finals.

What I find much more remarkable is that Norwood has never beaten North in a Grand Final and that those two clubs have only ever played each other 3 times in a Grand Final, given that Norwood has played in 36 GFs and North 29, easily the second and third most Grand Finals played by any of the SANFL clubs.

went down The Parade yesterday, it looks like no-one really got into the Grand Final spirit. Where were the red & blue banners, flags & streamers?

James Aish, bounce, bounce, bounce, goal.

If anything was going to top off a great day, you couldn't have asked for more than that.

West will be in the mix again next year, hopefully with a coach who has a plan B and doesn't have the same game plan week in week out.

Congrats to norwood, way to good in 2012 for the comp.

Congrats to the long suffering legs fans, well those of you who didnt go interstate and become afl fans and claim it was cricket season three weeks ago that is.

I still think Trev Hill should get alot of applause for setting up the foundation to Norwoods flag IMHO.
