That doesn't make any sense as they rejected playing in the SANFL reserves as the standard wasn't high enough. Surely SANFL reserves is a higher standard than amateue league?

Yep the Crows haven't go a clue!

Good luck to the Tea Tree Gully full back who gets Taylor Walker next year in round 1.

SAAFL have already publically said they would likely accept Crows and offered play their games each week at Thebarton which SAAFL leases and is not fully utilised.

Visiting team that loses home game to play there gets share of bar & canteen or a fee.

Crows would NEVER play away from Thebarton.

It would mean every week Crows would be playing at the ground against a SAAFL Div 1 side at a reasonable central venue in DIRECT competition with SANFL matches.

Which will get more media coverage or crowds? Crows reserves game v SAAFL team at Thebarton or normal SANFL game ie Central v North this week.

SAAFL would do very well out of it, raises profile of their comp, get a licence fee

What Crows have done is secure their Plan B with SAAFL first then scare the crap out of the SANFL commission with what they could do as competitors if rejected.

Can you imagine, early in the season, round 1 or 2 maybe, a Crows team stacked near the hilt with AFL listed players all available.

on a fine warm day a lowly Div 1 side takes on the Crows, with Walker just back from his injury.

The fitness and conditioning differences alone would sees the Ammo side butchered!

The news report would probably state that the Crows ran the game out a little better.....

Let's see Trigg follow through on this ludicrous scenario.

Trigg is full of shit. How the xxxx does he think they will get all 8 clubs saying yes ?
He thinks his young players will develop better playing against SAAL players than where they are playing now ?
Did I hear right ? Port are out and just Crows trying ?

As I said earlier - the Crows rejected playing their Reserves in our Reserves Comp because the standard would not be acceptable yet is willing to play in the Amateurs - HE and the CROWS have no idea!

Best thing the clubs can do is all vote No as a block to show solidarity.

Even those who are inclined to say Yes must not leave any of the others exposed.

Crows have said either 8/8 or they are in the Ammos.

No club/s should be isolated and be singled out as the reason why the Crows are not in the SANFL.

It's either all Yes or all No. Obviously No is the right answer!!!

We must unite against the common enemy......

At the end of the day it is about the Crows having somewhere where their 12 players that are available that don't get picked can play. If that is the SAAFL instead of SANFL Reserves then so be it. No big deal.

Given their current inuries - how many of their list would actually line up in one team this week as an example?

West Coast Eagles had 3 players playing in the WAFL from their whole list on the weekend.

Food for thought....

Here here!!! Call Trigg and the Crows bluff and see how stupid they will be having either to back down or go through and play Ammos!

Yep - that would test the top up pool issue no doubt and would make a mockery of the whole "we need to have them all togehter to develop structures and game plans for AFL development"

If both AFL Clubs took the offer and it was voted in and both clubs got to point in the season that they only had 3 fit list players outside their 22 lining up in the AFL - that would mean the 8 SANFL Clubs would have to supply at least 38 pool players in total for both clubs to pick from and that is not allowing for injuries in the Pool list over the season which of course is going to happen!

Farcical!!!

Ive heard from 3 differant people this afternoon saying Norwood will vote YES.
General consensus is that Norwood doesnt want to be seen as the lone resistance and if we are the only ones who vote NO and the Cows get in we could be singled out. Dont forget that Norwood dont have a recent good history with the league.
I just hope we stand firm

Have I got this right?

Instead of needing 6 votes for the Crows to come in, it now needs to be all 8 or AFC will make the call & play SAAFL.

So rather than needing 3 clubs to stop the proposal now there needs to be only one?

I repeat .... one club says no and no Crows in the SANFL?

I'm past caring...
Whatever happens I'll follow Norwood, but if they wreck the SANFL I'll be less likely to take much notice of the Crows or the Power.
But, I like the idea of the SANFL teams pulling out to form a new league, even if it is unlikely.
