Only one game out of the five and a horrid start to the season.

The Eagles BEST is yet to come in 2012.

Surely its time for this thread to finally be scrapped. I think it served it purpose. Can we re-name it to Eagles rebuilding or something of the like?

OK, I'll retract that for the time. A win this week over South will see them one spot out of the 5 on % only, provided West beat South. There is still some hope to cling to.

Agree with the second part of your post. Eagles could go either way yet: bottom or top. That might sound outlandish, but they are the reigning premier, if they somehow limped into the finals they might yet rediscover the spark that took them all the way last year.
Stranger things have happened, but the Eagles performance in 2012 is as riveting as the running sheet saga if you ask me. Plenty of legs left in this discussion.

As good an argument against the top 5 as any, surely? How can a side this far into the season have been so poor and still be relatively close to the 5?
