One way to reduce a game would be if say Eagles were due to play CDFC in the semi final for instance. Have a flexible SANFL program where a future league game between these 2 could be brought forward to fit in with the Champs League and play the game for SANFL league premiership points as well as the Champs League knockout.

I think this is an excellent idea. It helps overcome the extra games/extra risk issue and means that the game will be more exciting as there will be multiple reasons for winning.

Agreed, good idea. When they clash in the minor round, it can be part of the Champs league and for the two premiership points as well. Depending of course on how it's structured.

So, another question into the equation now....will the Crows make Callinan available for this competition?

I guess a lot will depend on their list situation at the time of this proposed competition?

If they have a fit healthy list, I can't see why Adelaide wouldn't not let Callinan play but if there are any long term injured players, Callinan's opportunity to be promoted to the senior list and play AFL increases and Adelaide may not take the risk.

All depends I'd say and the same would go for Norwood with Tom Jonas now being on the Power's list?

I would have thought more games in Adelaide and perth would have been better as our clubs are better supported. I presume the atmosphere at most games will be average due to being played in big stadiums. At least the central supporters can help the crows and port fill a stadium

Central vs Ainslie before a Port vs Crows showdown.

What will the chances be for a Central member to be able to get in and see this game.

I definatley want to be there.

Labrador vs Norwood at the Gabba, I'll be there :)

Looks like most games will have delayed coverage.
It think the "Leagues Championship Cup" is more appropriate name than Champions League as well.

Channel Nine news has just announced that the three SANFL clubs have advised Football & Corporate Operations Chief Officer, Darren Chandler, they do NOT wish to participate in this competition.

As it stands the eagles are scheduled to play before the Swans v Port game at the SCG. You can imagine that if someone like Salter or Redden is not playing for Port they will be named as an emergency for Port given they will be in the same city at the same ground. No doubt if one of port's players pulls out they will take Salter out of hte eagles game meaning the eagles would be short of players. Are the foxtel corporates footing the bill to allow more players to be flown over with the team to cover such situations?
