Bruce may have played a small part in 97/98 for your beloved Crows. Does that change how you feel about him?

The answer is no - this is an SANFL topic, and I was commenting from an SANFL fan's perspective on what is happening to the SA Magpies at present.

Can't fatham how Webber had any influence on the Crows performace in 97/98 as he didn't assist in the wealth, health or happiness of the Crows fans.
HOWEVER the entrance of Port Power (Webber's baby) into the AFL arena has definately EFFECTED PAM wealth, health and misery.

A spoon may be on the horizon, but I'm more than happy to have a shot at a spoon compared to putting my Magpie merchandise in the bin for good.

Isn't God just another name for Russell Ebert to you Port blokes Booney?

Therefore if Jesus was just doing Russell's work/will

Ergo, Judas (Webber) was going against God's (Russell's) will

am Bays wrote:My point is where has the massive leg-up Port got with the transfer fees gone?

In 1997 the Magpies were in a poisiton to set them up for the future to dominate this competition with the $$$$ they had. Five years later they were rattling the cans.

Why should mediocre adminstration get rewarded?

Yes Port were in a position based on their results up to 1996 to get more players signed by the Power that I'm not fussed about as a SANFL fan, it is where the money has gone.

That "massive leg up" was eaten into straight away in having to build new facilities at Ethelton. Not to mention the lack of ongoing revenue from the Port Club, existing sponsors etc.

I'll concede one point though. The continual appearances in Grand Finals probably masked a lot of developing deficiencies which the administration were too slow to act upon.

But don't we all love 20/20 hindsight.

I'm not sure how true this rumour is but Mead was given the job & then apparently threw it in for the Glenelg reserves job.

True. I'm more interested in how the contract issue is being sorted.

There must be a way out somewhere because he was on the training track at another club last night.

So Kurtze will start next year as he finished it in the 2s, Barto???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Nup, just wondering if the other club Micklejohn was training at could have a negative impact on Kurtze ability to play 1s next year.

Pure speculation on my part, have Sturt started pre-season training yet??
