Todays advertiser quoted Kris Grant as saying they will talk to both Chris and James when James gets back from holidays in the next couple of days. The boys admitted they have fielded coaching offers from other clubs (interstate clubs of my knowledge). They also said that it would be real exciting to play with Dew if he does returns.

So reading in between the lines and knowing the friendship between both Chris, James, and Stewie if Stew does play the Gowans will definatly go on for one more crack at the flag and premiership medal number 7. Im 99.9% confident Dew will play next year so so will the Gowans.

IMHO Dew will be a very slow starter in 2008. I think he will have a similar year to the of Ben Hart in 2007. I know Dew had the whole year off unlike Hart who kept playing. I mean more in the way that Dew will probably start the season a bit under done and will probably pick a fair few injuries on the way.

But as the season goes on and he gains match fitness and gets over niggling injuries like Hart i think he will start to dominate, he has way to much class and is clearly above SANFL standard at 100%.

He will definatly play most of the year as forward pocket/ full forward/ half forward flank with the occasional burst on the ball.

Imaging the ability of Central to kick goals from outside 50 with a forward line including Dew, Cowan, Lawry and Grima all can the ball 60-65 metres.

Talking to my Norwood friends seems Bartemucci and Dawes have been told the old "limited opportunities" line for 2008. No real surprises if they wanna move forward.

The Crows were spewin when they missed out on him in the draft - they likened him to A.Mcleod. But dont take it as they know what they were talkin about as there track record speaks for itself.

Played for the Western Bulldogs.

Not to mention they had the chance to pick him up last year just as they do this year and they still won't pick him up. He might do well in the SANFL but he's overrated.

Just one of those kids who had all the ability in the world at 17/18 but just never developed into the player he seemed like he was going to be. Might flourish under Roy back at home, but really he's been at the bullies for 4 years now so he'd have to have a ripper year to get picked up again.

Plays midfield/forward line from what I recall. Pacy aboriginal lad.

whufc wrote:Yeah into todays paper Ward has officially signed for North but intresting enough he was quoted as saying playing at west with his mates was definatly his preferred option, and he would of been there if they had room in the salary cap. Do you want to be recruiting players that openly say your there preffered second option.

You should read it in proper context - some of the quotes were tongue in cheek. It did say in truth he landed at his preferred option - North Adelaide.

Do you wanna take back that comment BPBRB, (west never played with ward in their sums, he was never an option at 30, we have walsh and brown and a 30yo to join them was never going to happen FACT

I've read that article myself now, and it does indeed read like it's almost a foregone coclusion they'll run around with Stewy Dew next year. Also said Cowan and Steinberner were going around and Faulkner was a recruit unless re-drafted.

Why would he take back his comment when all it was doing was putting the article in context and stating what was actually said not written. :?

But that has nothing to do with the post you quoted of BRBRBP, all he did was put the comment in context by stating what was said in the article and you told him he should take that back.
Who was going to join where or when has nothing to do with it, WTF are you smoking mate? :?
