I was going by what I read in the tiser which said only norwood is expected to vote against it. I guess i should no better than to believe what i read there. Of course I have signed the petition but what else can a single person like me do to stop it?

So you would rather the Western Australia situation play out again in SA? Their commission made the decision without the WAFL clubs consultation and was a forgone conclusion once 2 clubs caved and agreed to whore themselves out the the AFL clubs.

At least here in SA the decision rests with the clubs. Unfortunately you only need few clubs to say thanks but no thanks and the AFL clubs are locked out

Haven't the commission been consulting with the league directors throughout the process?
They are not there as a mailbox.

So the league directors appoint the commissioners to three year terms.

The directors :

David Cavenett (Central District)
Nick Chigwidden (Glenelg)
Bohdan Jaworskyj (North Adelaide)
Joe Tripodi (Norwood)
Peter Alexander APM (South Adelaide)
Jason Kilic (Sturt)
Paul Sperling (West Adelaide)
Kurt Slaven (Woodville-West Torrens)
Rob Kerin (Community Football)

Firstly, I hope that the league directors reject the AFC ( not Port's remember, it's only Adelaide pushing this now ) proposal and if they do it must be considered that the people they appointed ( the commissioners ) have failed to execute their role and should immediately be removed from their position.

I'd be asking your president to over turn the commission, if the directors vote against the proposal. You cant have people you have appointed working towards and different agenda to yours.

I understand that if the YES vote gets up and regardless of what the PAFC want, the Commission can them impose any change on the PAFC in regards to the local comp so they can effectively force the PAFC to dismantle the current Magpie structure.

My understanding is that only the two AFL reserve team structures need to be the same. If the Power decline to enter a reserves side in the AFL, and keep the status quo, the One Club structure continues. ie There is no stipulation that they both must have reserve teams playing in the SANFL.

This way the Magpies keep playing at Alberton and any Power listed players surplus to AFL game day requirements continue to play with their aligned SANFL club. (Obviously a sterner eye from the SANFL would be required to ensure more players are not aligned by stealth as has occurred this year, although I fear the SANFL would turn a blind eye and just let it happen, thus keeping the Power happy as well who would get what they want through the back door.)
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

1990 - Port screwing the SANFL
2013 - Port trying to stop the Crows, formed because Port tried to screw the SANFL, screwing the SANFL.

History's a funny thing. Who's really the side for all South Australians?

That would be an appropriate name for the Crows Reserves side - Adelaide Rams given they are "ramming" the SANFL by the looks of it? All the Commission have bent over and been rammed by Chapman and that crook Trigg so it's the Directors next as it appears? I might send a tub of vaseline to West Lakes to ease the pain then again......they can bleed like the selfish greedy pigs they are for those who vote yes!

So as was expected, it's all come down to hypothetical $$$ & the selfishness of the AFL & some SANFL Clubs

My understanding is MY Club is voting 'yes' - without so much as a response to emails or letters, without conversation/discussion about the proposal, let alone any mention of the reasoning behind the vote, with it's Members. Disgraceful show of arrogance!

As a result, they can stick their membership money where it fits.
Do NOT send me any more 'raffle tickets', promotional materials needing distribution, etc.

For 25 years, they have sent us constant requests for financial & patron assistance & we have continued to support them - no more.
Those in charge of the Club are P**S WEAK - they will contribute to the demise of our 130+ Competition for your OWN selfish gain (what 'kick backs' have YOU been promised?)

You clearly have learned NOTHING from the traumatic experience & demise of WTFC & WFC

Good Luck keeping supporters @ WWTFC - remember the vast majority of your supporters are 60+, once they are gone where will you get the next lot from?
They young will follow the Cows & the PAPs - not WWTFC
Why don't you just do the 'deed' & become the same as East Perth - take the Cows as your 'overlords' & be done with it?

The day that this proposal 'gets up' will be a very sad day indeed - there is BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS directors of WWTFC & you have lost me & mine as supporters as a result.

Disappointingly for you the WWTFC constitution requires one hundred members to get a Special General Meeting called.

http://www.wwtfc.com.au/wp-content/uplo ... -20062.pdf

Clause 21.1.2

The wording for the requirements to call it is deliberately ambiguous though.

Good luck.
