Parry deserved the 4 weeks. I imagine the Eagles only challenged due to desperation - if it wasn't going to cost any more games and they had the opportunity to reduce to three, you'd be silly not to at least try, especially when Parry is probably the most important player for the Eagles. Need to move on and prepare to win without him.

Central's James Boyd has accepted a 2 match suspension handed out by the IRP for striking.

Will miss the last home and away game against North and then the first final against West.

:( Massive out for the final. He's been brilliant this year. Oh well, might create an opportunity for Chad to stake a claim.

Why does the link refer to ...../sport/afl/......

If it doesn't involve that competition, shouldn't it be .../sport/AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL... or .../sport/SANFL...

Phuken hate this game being refered to as afl.

Chris Kane handed a 4 week suspension by the SANFL tribunal - no doubt his priors wouldn't have helped...

I think that is fair enough as well. It looked terrible, mainly because Gallagher went down the way he did, but that was caused by Kane's bump and the bump wasn't necessary.

Would have started off with 12.5 carry over points and had a 30% addition for previous suspensions. It would be nice if the SANFL would give a breakdown of this information like they seemed to be happy to do at the start of the season.

I saw it a couple of times, and YES, two weeks is a fair penalty...

In fact, lucky not to be more, to be honest, but the fact that James just accepted the ban and didn't challenge it at the tribunal suggest to me that he and the club were happy with 2 weeks...

Probably helped him that he has a good clean record, until now, and pleaded guilty so would have had it redcued, I'd suspect...

So you should be allowed to line someone up after they have taken a mark and crack them in the head like he did? If it was an Eagles player on the receiving end you'd be filthy, and rightly so
