Big Phil wrote:If, as rumoured, Herring AND Andy Lee head to Prospect, will be interesting to see how Francou juggles a potential forward line including players like Alleway, Gill, M.Wundke, Herring, Lee?

Maybe play Gill in defence full time or Alleway in ruck again, perhaps one of the 'new' lads might be converted into a defender?

What are the Legs' fans thoughts on Andy Lee's abilities?

Herring will end up in the WAFL.

Andy Lee looks a footballer but i was very disappointed in him.
He would not chase or push himself to make a contest and appeared disinterested in many of his matches.
I would be astounded if he proves to be a regular league player werever he goes and at best i would classify him as an average seconds contributor.

Also Myles Sewell the 2009 Liston Medalist will be playing in the SANFL in 2011 if he is not picked in the AFL draft.

I think you are spot on John with that assessment. He looks to have everything physically and I can see why we recruited him but he didn't fire a shot up forward or in defence over the last two years. Perhaps the environment wasn't right for him or perhaps not he right coach and he will be a different player at North. Good luck to him.

If the rumours are true about Myles Sewell. Its only a guess but I would think that Norwood & South may be the frontrunners as they would have the coin to get a player like this.

Mind you Iam only guessing

West?

His a friend of my wife from when she went to high school in Vic, they also both lived in Wagga around the same time for a couple of years.

Apparently he is tossing up between North and West, from what he said its not a money issue its more about quality of football and competition, loves the proffesionalism of the SANFL.

Heres a quote from a Herald Sun article from his current coach.

Roosters coach Gerard FitzGerald said the medal was reward for hard work.

“His strongest asset is his discipline and his coachability, but apart from that it is his ability to win the ball and make good decisions with the ball,” he said.

“What else can he achieve? Well it just depends on how much time he can put into his football. But he has shown a lot in these early stages of his career.”
