He wants to get back into coaching. Will be interesting as to whether or not Jars applied for the Maggie's job?

No, please, no.

Mead wanted to keep some experienced players in the B's to help the large amount of youngsters he'd had in the team, i don't see anything wrong with that especially when these players were only 22-24yrs of age. I don't see sacking the players concerned is the answer with only 3 games to go before finals.
I wouldn't call 22-24yrs old, didn't Andrew Obst start his league career at around 26-27?
AFL at that.

i don't think it was Mead and Bamford disliking each other, just a difference in opinion on the direction to take the club. Won't be an issue if he got the job because he would set the direction himself

Might be an issue for banger though when his juniors aren't getting the developement he thinks they require.

What about Coaches under Pressure as of now?
Fuller with now only 2 years left of a rare 5 year fulltime deal, would be expected to deliver a second finals run in 2013. So he's definately under pressure.
Moloney is interesting as he's probably not in the job because the club wants a Premiership right now, maybe more for harmony and is cost effective! So little pressure for next year anyway.
Port..... enough said.
Massie must show that the teams he put on the park are developing in visiable ways and it's not just theory and saying the right things ala The Neil Craig Show  Got to be under pressure for 2013 after weak finish (again) to the season.
Godden..... the little General will relish the challenge presented and it's going to be fun watching him get responses to a poor season. Look out, he's angry :)
Uncle Roy Bulldog makes his own rules, he's earnt the right!
Francou would have North people very pleased and rightly so, knows his stuff and if he was in charge of Norwood, they would still be the No.1 team but with goals and attacking play to boast of.
Collo.....
Bassett....

Would think after the news in WA of host clubs for the Eagles and the Dockers being approved, that the Power will now look to have their own seconds side in the SANFL but called the Power reserves, which means the demise of the Magpies in the SANFL.

I can't see the SANFL standing in the AFL way in particular since they are in the S*#t well and truly over the Power and the current Crows situations

Will now make the task easier to recruit a coach for said team, ;)

You do know Norwood actually scored more points than North over the season? Sure, Bassett's gameplan begins with defense but its a bit of myth that he didn't attack or attempt to kick a score. I think in the second half of the season Norwood were missing some of their keys in attack which led to some lower scores and unfortunately when we play West the games turn into dour, ultra defensive spectacles but this year I ain't complaining!

MEDIA RELEASE
The Board of the West Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Collins as Club Coach for season 2013.
Both the Board and Andrew were keen to see him to continue in his role as Club Coach to maintain the stability of our club.
During the past five seasons Andrew has changed our club’s culture and built a quality, and dedicated playing list.
He has taken us from the worst period in our club’s history (of four consecutive wooden spoons between 2005 and 2009) to a Grand Final in 2012. We congratulate Andrew on this commendable achievement.
Andrew has made certain sacrifices to continue on as West Adelaide Coach which the club greatly appreciates. He is determined to keep the playing group on course to achieve our ultimate goal of winning the SANFL premiership.
For any further comment please only contact either myself or our CEO, Kym Russell.

Incorrect, North kicked about 10 goals more than Norwood over the entire season.
But they did play one more game. ;)

North averaged 100 points per game in the finals, Norwood averaged 70 allowing North to go past Norwood as far as points scored for the entire season went.
I think Norwood won the thing that counts though.

Apologies... was actually referring to minor round. As I said, Norwood and West games are usually not too exciting and us v them twice in the finals was sure to keep the scores down.
I do think Francou's on the right track with North - but how much will Alleway's and Bennett's loss affect the scoring power? They'll be hard to replace.

Thank goodness he is not in charge at Norwood. He was a sniper at the power. How is Kane btw?
