God this is a good feeling.

But where is the W L at the start?

Also filmed the players being interviewed at Unleash Oval last night by Soders and got to say the quality is excellent. Mind you it goes for nearly an hour but that investment earlier in the year was worth it.

Well done Eagles. Gees I thought we were going to pinch it. We didn't deserve to win as we were outplayed for so much of the game but I'm glad our boys had such a crack at it in the last quarter. Seeing the Eagles supporters going off after the final siren after we got so close made me smile, it meant so much. (stating the obvious I know) Four Eagles near where I was standing shook my hand after the game. Leaving the ground I didn't hear a single negative comment about Centrals, they were all just full of praise for their own mighty Eagles, which is how such victories should be celebrated.

One thing I liked about the game considering the pressure out there , was I didn't notice any incidents. There's always a little bit of pushing and shoving with these two teams, maybe a little more where the Gowans boys and Ciccolella are all involved (just play fighting) but these two teams usually play together well and have done so for years.

Boring and predictable ????? I've heard and read so many places what a great game it was. I'm still recovering from the loss, but from the parts of the replay I've seen I think they are right. And one of the closest games in how many?... what... 40 years maybe. To anyone who didn't go or watch the game because it was a forgone conclusion, shove that up your ar5e. Lucky for the Eagles they didn't think boring, predicable, just give the Dogs the cup etc etc. They came to play

Again well done Eagles.

To paraphrase Arnie "I'll (We'll) be back"

You didn't jag the win. You played the way footy must be played and thoroughly deserved the victory. If the Doggies had won it would have been a jag

Watching the highlights on you-tube and adelaidenow and Dutchy's photo of Spurr taking the ball, almost feel sick that we were very lucky. He couldn't do anything else, any half-contested ball would have been enough for the siren to go.

But then how good has this last year? Norwood did us in last year's prelim on the last play, Centrals dodged a bullet with Weatherald's poster (true, they probably had to do everything right from the centre break, but you never know), and then things went our way Sunday. All three have been on the right and wrong side of it.

Glad you mentioned it!

There are so many cocky quotes from one of them pregame, but so little time to revisit them...

GrahamL is currently composing a five thousand word statement on the awesome invincibility of the Dogs midfield.

Agreed, it must get tiresome dealing with the boring old 'he's taken three days to write a five thousand word essay' sledge.

Actually I was just letting the eagles fans have their time in the sun. There's really not much I'd say you wouldn't expect me to say. Bitterly disappointed of course and had that shot gone through the whole story would be different. But the Eagles were in front all day, and most importantly when the siren sounded. Good on them, but why my lack of posting here is such a worry for some people is rather funny.
