How certain are you or is this all rumour. That would be devestating news for us Eagles fans if it did come true.

It'd be more devestating to North fans, trust me.

More ironic I would have thought - If he does move to North he might even get more boos from your fans than mine.

Andrew Capel @ The Advertiser wrote:
Ken McGregor's time at the Eagles is over

One of the SANFL's best players, Ken McGregor, has quit Woodville-West Torrens. Citing increasing work commitments as the main reason for his shock decision, the former Crow will return to his roots at Amateur League club Henley Sharks, where he will play alongside older brother Shawn for the first time.

"I love the Eagles, so it was a tough decision to walk away but my work is getting harder and I've found it hard to commit the time to play SANFL football," said McGregor, who played juniors at Henley.

"I struggled to get to training on time this year and it will be worse next season, so I thought if I can't give them 100 per cent then it would be unfair and I would be more of an obstruction than an asset. As an older player you need to set an example to the rest of the group and it's not fair on the younger guys if they are doing extra training and I'm there late."

McGregor, 28, is a journalist at The Advertiser.

He spent the 2009 season as a full-time Eagles player after being delisted by Adelaide at the end of 2008 following 152 games in 10 years.

The popular clubman will link up with several former Eagles team-mates at Henley, including Steven Hall, who coached the club to this year's Division 1 grand final, which the Sharks lost to Goodwood Saints.

"I'm looking forward to just getting out and having a kick for fun," McGregor said. "Apart from the work side of things, I've been doing flat-out, full-time footy for a long time now and I think the body needs a rest and my brain needs a rest too. At Henley, things won't be quite so stressful which will allow me to do other things."

McGregor also is looking forward to playing alongside his 31-year-old brother for the first time. Shawn, a Gaza premiership player, is transferring to Henley.

"That's another huge thing for me," McGregor said. "He's only got a couple of years left in football, so to finally get the chance to play in the same team with him will be pretty special."

McGregor is the fourth player to depart Woodville-West Torrens since the end of the season, joining Mark Passador (retired), David Westbrook (Kangaroo Island) and Zack Hier (Riverton).

The Eagles hope to secure delisted AFL players Rob Shirley (Adelaide) and Hayden Skipworth (Essendon) - who hail from the club - but Shirley is attracting interest from other AFL clubs and Skipworth is pursuing development coaching opportunities in Melbourne.

Seb Guilhaus will play for the Eagles in 2010. Interesting that someone that played for Glenelg in 2008... lives a stones throw away from the GFC... is now returning to the SANFL at Mick Goddens new club.

I think the Eagles should give up on chasing Skipworth, his procrastinations in the past have cost the club. While being fully focussed on Skipworth they have failed to secure other good recruits.
Would his heart be in it if can't secure a developmental job at an AFL club he so dearly wants.

You would think that would make them less likely to be chasing Parry. Unless they're thinking of playing Dobba as a KPP.

Daniel Healy annonced on the Thursday Night Summer Sports Show that Michael Wundke will come back to the Roosters (pending being re-drafted in the AFL - as previosuly mentioned) and that they have picked up a young lad named James Bennett from the Canberra league through the association with Brett Knowles, who played a few seasons over there.
