Other than we'll play in your league competition and steal some of your players so that we have enough for a team, and, oh, we don't need to pay for the privilege as crowds will flock to see us and you can keep the spoils, they have a proposal?

Plus coaching clinics to assist them cherry picking the clubs young talent as early as possible . But apart from that I think you've got it.

What does this bit from Chapman mean:

"sometimes logic just doesn't cut it when you want to explain things".

I hope it means he thinks his initial proposal is excellent. The SANFL clubs just don't understand it.

Well that alone is condesending and insulting to the SANFL as a whole.

Can't put it past him. Not only is their proposal shizenhousen they offend the SANFL presidents by representing the same proposal in a clearer format.

Well they do have a history of having some trouble grasping detail ... like understanding salary cap rules.

that was their excuse when they got caught red handed ... sometimes logic doesn't cut it when you want to explain things

I think Chapman wil want to come up with some clear evidence and fact around the original crowd figures and $$$ that and other fees the Crows would bring by entering the comp. Can't see it happening to anywhere near believable numbers given all the Clubs have discounted his original claims in their first proposal.

Anyone go to the lunch to give us the full perspective?

Always worry that the media especially TV can focus on one sentence rather than the context it was given in.

Simple. We'd be wasting our breaths putting our case before him; "logic just wouldn't cut it".

Far more expedient to tell the cretin to F*** Right Off, and jam his reserves team where it would make him squeak.

This post from the Apache on the Adelaide Now site !!!!!

I reckon all of you Crow and Power supporters stick to your bastardised AFL footy and leave the SANFL alone we are not interested in going to watch second rate reserves sides. Please tell me how many of you so called supporters are prepared to spend more money to go and watch a reserves side NONE most supporters want to watch the MAIN game. Check out the attendances in the VFL the pseudo AFL reserves competition average attendance is 2,000 per game this stat says it all no one is interested. So once again NO AFL IN THE SANFL go and play somewhere else.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

Yet another article that doesn't explain the benefits that the SANFL would have.

The bloke makes some reasonable points (and some not so), but this one **** me off:

The plain, brutal truth is the SANFL competition is no longer SA football's pinnacle. Ignorance of that is just a fear of change.

I know a shedload of people at my club and others and not once, ONCE, has any of them ever claimed that we (SANFL) are the pinnacle of SA Football.

They have said they prefer it, but they are under no illusions as to which is the biggest competition.

Seriously how deluded are some of these people .. Would they say that the WAFL should tamper with their competition however necessary to fit the Crows and Power in? No? Oh, why's that? Because it's a totally separate league that has no responsibility to clubs in a different competition, so how is the SANFL any different?

I'm open minded enough to sit down and listen to all the pro's and con's from all parties, but don't feed us BS like this nobody that's trying to make a name for himself.
