This means the revenue stream is Adelaide Oval, not AFC/PAFC.

This means AFC/PAFC can go root their boot.

How are Port going to finance the purchase of their licence?

Port Adelaide have already paid for their License, even though Gold Coast and Greater Eastern Broken Hill were admitted for free.

It is now up to the SANFL and AFL to work out any financial transaction.

So with no AFC/PAFC at Adelaide Oval, how would the AO generate any income?

Sheffield Shield gate takings? ;)

5 mins on Port Rd collecting cans should do it.
The AFL will probably pay it anyway.
The Crows is where the money will be made from selling the licenses.
Might even be a package deal.
20 million for both or 25 million for just the Crows!

They paid for it but do not own it, therefore it would be worth more in todays currency.

Going to be real interesting if Port do get it and the SANFL have no further involvement in the footy club, they are the only reason they are still trading.

Hopefully once the licenses are sold the AO can jack up their cost of renting the oval to the 2 AFL sides.

Can we change the thread title? This one is misleading.

It makes no mention of Port bashing.

Yeah, let the SACA find their own solution to their $82M debt? Oh wait, they did!

Hang on, SACA were comfortable with their debt level and ability to service it. Don't kick them in the guts because some idiots offered them free money and passed on the debt to the SA tax payer to the tune of a small African nation's entire budget!

Agreed. The major revenue stream is AAMI now and it always has been.

A couple of three legged horses racing across aami stadium painted in crows colors would make revenue. I Don't really see how we owe port or crows anything due to revenue generation.

Time to sell them off once and for all and live off the SMA revenue.

If only we'd listened to me and sold them off 5 years ago. We would of been able to demand 200% on what we will receive now.

I can picture you now UK, walking into your Stockbroker saying, "Well these mining shares were worth so much more 5 years ago, that's what I should get paid."

House big brother location, host conventions for new Facebook users, buy overseas junk bonds, auditions for x factor and whatever else reality show is on ATM. The possibilities are endless.

Basically Any revenue stream available that Doesnt need $3 mill a year in top up funds to stay alive would of been beneficial.

Or we can keep chasing this "golden rainbow of afl revenue" Which will deliver more funds to our local clubs, junior footballing programme than we have ever seen before.

As stated 5 years ago . It's not going to happen. Can't believe your still trying the "revenue" smoke and mirrors claim.

I Would of saved the state about $600-$700 mill aswell.

I see the non alligned WAFL clubs were offered an additional dividend of $100k pa each, sought an additional $155k and settled for $140k.
Does anyone know what dividend/distributiion the clubs currently receive so we can compare it with our SANFL clubs?

Is that the technical term for it?
